Rental Market to Save Our Ass | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!
Hello amazing people from Splinterlands, how are you all? Hope you are doing great by the grace of the Almighty. Recently I have been trying to poke around other platforms too. Haven’t come around to anything like splinterlands, like we do have a great community, great infrastructure, a great ecosystem, and all. Every week there are lots of engaging contests for which the Splinterlands community on Hive is always alive, can't forget to mention the discord server as well.

There are many games where you need to invest a huge amount to start playing, at least something that is beyond every beginner's reach. Yeah, in Splinterlands we do need to spend some money, and need to purchase the spell book for 10 USD. This one lets you play the game, understand the rules, and play around different mechanisms and stuff. If you wanna compete with the good players for rewards then you must buy some good cards, that gonna cost you some money, actually a good amount of money depending on the level of battles and rewards you are going to target.
As you are thinking, some did even criticize that Splinterlands has become invest-to-earn from the play-to-earn model. Though it's somehow true in the whole crypto space that the more you can invest the more you can yield for sure.

Wait a minute, to make cards more available for players to play for those who can't purchase, there came this rental system. Yeah, a passive earning system for those who have tons of cards that they don't play with regularly can list for rent. Players without the ability to purchase may rent those cards from the owners and play with them. A win-win situation for both. I have seen many old players, those who have been collecting cards for years, have a massive collection of cards. It's also not possible to play with such a huge collection regularly, so the best deal is a listing for renting. Also, how many of the newcomers would be able to invest so much to compete with the collections of those who have been playing and collecting for years? Not unless you decide to invest BIG! So the walkaround to this is to rent the cards that you need to play, to compete, and to earn rewards.
Personally, I am also relying on the rental markets as well to rent cards and play every day or tomorrow. Almost every week, I play for a couple of days and participate in the weekly contests. For that, I need cards, as per my requirements, and for that, the rental market is the best possible shot for me.
So for those who haven’t dived yet with the fear of investing big, I would advise you to try the rental market and then start accumulating slowly but steadily.
The rental system makes a lot of sense in a way that the people who don’t even have enough money can still play games comfortably
Nice one!
Yeah, you should start playing too if you haven’t already.
