The Most Remarkable Ride - SPS | Social Media Challenge

Splintershards which is commonly called as SPS by all is the official governance token for Splinterlands. Initially, it was airdropped to the users holding assets, and now it can be earned via playing the game as a reward and can be traded for different purposes along with the other tokens. The Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) is valued at 1$ per 1000 DEC - and it hovers below the peg too but it's always aimed to be pegged. The SPS had the most beautiful/horrible(in my case) ride already, I don't know if it will ever reach that or not but something good is waiting ahead of us, it's crypto space, and you never know what's coming for you.

SPS started its journey after the middle of 2021 when the crypto space was really hot. So after the initial launch, in September 2021 it was hovering around 20 cents. From there it started to ride upwards. I wasn't a regular player so thought of investing in SPS and sitting for the roller coaster ride. I do remember starting my ride from 30 cents. Early days in the crypto space, I wasn't aware of risk management, profit takings, and experience that needs to come out victorious on trades. So I was riding up, up, and up. Seeing people super hopeful with the token. With that speed, within months it touched 1$ mark.

A Missed Opportunity

Can you believe I haven't booked any profit even though I was at 3x? Maybe the biggest opportunity for me in my life. Well, I was super hyped just like the others who were guessing unrealistic numbers for it to reach, I was among them too. I still remember the day, I had a fever and was lying on my bed, SPS touched 1 dollar and I got up from my bed, took a screenshot of the portfolio with the prices of SPS at 1, and went back to bed.

And soon it started to fall downwards. No, it will ride upwards once again, It will, today or tomorrow it should reverse its ride and shower us with profits. But it kept going down and down, just before I reached breakeven I thought of saying enough and booked some profits. The bear came slowly, I had entered again at 10 cents but somehow sold at breakeven and you see where it's hovering right now.

Many booked their profits and many kept accumulating more and more.

Not The Downfall

Wait, I am not showing any downfall to you, I am just picturing a roller coaster ride that I got the opportunity to experience but couldn't extract the actual benefits. That's on me, my incapability that I couldn't play wisely during that ride which resulted in the most remarkable ride that I have ever had but couldn't make the best out of. Just left me with a lesson, grabbing profits little by little and staying in contempt of what's getting ripped.

I have seen many getting super successful due to SPS. Many lives were changed during the last bull because of splinterlands and SPS was a crucial part of that.

What's Next?

What about the future of SPS? I would say, accumulate as much SPS as you can, the potential of it is immense. I may not expect the previous ATH but it should give another amazing ride for sure from its current position, just keep some patience. Hold onto any Splinterlands assets, the market is recovering, we should be bullish on the assets soon.

So yeah, this was my most remarkable splinterlands moment that I wanted to share.
