Escalation, new cards, and that excitement that never fades (Esp/Eng)
Como ya varios saben, hace poco me animé a comprar algunos packs de Escalation en Splinterlands, y obviamente no podía dejarlos cerrados mucho tiempo 😅. Apenas le comenté a Bulka que los tenía, lo primero que me dijo fue algo así como “ábrelo no más, para eso son”, y bueno… tenía razón.
El único detalle no tan favorable es que ando corta de pociones, así que mis probabilidades no estaban tan potenciadas como me hubiera gustado. Por eso decidí abrir solo los packs que me permitían las pociones que ya tenía guardadas, y dejar el resto para más adelante, cuando pueda acumular un poco más y hacerlo con mejores chances. Igual, abrir packs así, medio a la suerte, también tiene su encanto.
Todo este proceso lo hice grabando desde mi laptop, que anda un poco lenta, así que entre el lag, la grabación y la ansiedad, fue toda una experiencia 😅. Aun así, valió totalmente la pena porque me salieron varias cartas muy lindas, y para mi alegría, al menos una fue dorada, lo que siempre emociona un montón. Es ese momento en que dices: “ok, ya con esto estoy feliz”.
Ahora viene la parte que siempre llega después del hype inicial: aprender a usar bien las cartas. La verdad es que todavía no las manejo del todo, así que tocará preguntar, leer habilidades, probar combinaciones y seguramente perder algunas batallas en el proceso, pero así es como se aprende en este juego. Nada llega dominado de una.
Quedé con unas ganas enormes de abrir todos los packs de una sola vez, pero mejor ir con calma. Quién sabe, tal vez en una de esas aperturas pendientes me salga una lámina negra… uff 😮💨, soñar no cuesta nada. Splinterlands siempre tiene esa magia de mantenerte con la expectativa hasta el último segundo.
Por ahora estoy muy contenta con lo que salió, disfrutando las nuevas cartas y con motivación renovada para seguir jugando, aprendiendo y creciendo dentro del juego. Escalation recién comienza para mí, y siento que todavía hay muchas sorpresas esperando.

As many of you already know, I recently decided to buy some Escalation packs in Splinterlands, and obviously I couldn't leave them unopened for long 😅. As soon as I told Bulka that I had them, the first thing he said was something like, “Just open them, that's what they're for,” and well... he was right.
The only downside is that I'm running low on potions, so my odds weren't as good as I would have liked. That's why I decided to open only the packs that I could afford with the potions I already had saved up, and leave the rest for later, when I can accumulate a little more and do it with better odds. Still, opening packs like this, kind of at random, also has its charm.
I recorded the whole process on my laptop, which is a bit slow, so between the lag, the recording, and the anxiety, it was quite an experience. Still, it was totally worth it because I got several really nice cards, and to my delight, at least one was gold, which is always very exciting. It's that moment when you say, “OK, I'm happy with this.”
Now comes the part that always comes after the initial hype: learning how to use the cards well. The truth is that I still don't quite know how to use them, so I'll have to ask questions, read up on abilities, try out combinations, and surely lose a few battles in the process, but that's how you learn in this game. Nothing comes easily at first.
I was dying to open all the packs at once, but it's better to take it slow. Who knows, maybe one of those pending openings will give me a black card... uff 😮💨, dreaming costs nothing. Splinterlands always has that magic of keeping you in suspense until the very last second.
For now, I'm very happy with what I got, enjoying the new cards and feeling motivated to keep playing, learning, and growing within the game. Escalation is just beginning for me, and I feel like there are still many surprises waiting.
