A thrilling 22 mana victory in Splinterlands gaming

My entire Splinterlands family, how are you all? I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying Splinterlands regularly. Those who play this game regularly know that every battle is a new test for us. Sometimes mana is low, sometimes the rules are very difficult. Today, I will share with you a battle I played, where low mana and some completely new rules challenged me a lot, but due to the right plan, the victory was ultimately mine.

Today's match was a battle in the Modern Ranked League. My opponent was 'WIM03', who was playing for the 'One Piece' guild. I took to the field for my favorite guild 'YGG Brawlers (Niðavellir)'. The mana cap for today's battle was only 22, which is quite low. But even bigger challenges were the two special rules of the battle:

1. Keep Your Distance: Due to this rule, we cannot use any 'Melee Power' or cards that attack directly with a sword. That is, the fight will be only between magic and ranged attack cards.

2. Headed Out: Due to this rule, the unit with the highest power or attack will get the chance to attack first. Usually, attacks are based on speed, but here the rule was completely different.

I knew that melee cards could not be used, so magic cards would be my main weapon. With that in mind, I chose MARLAI SINGARIEL, a powerful summoner of the water element. The special quality of this summoner is that it increases the power of all magic attack units in my team by +1.

On the other hand, my opponent chose KAYLIA SILVERLEAF. This summoner was a real threat to me, as it reduced the attack of all my magic cards by -1 and gave Elf cards the ability to execute. The fight was basically about who had the most magical power.

I had a pretty good team set up with a low mana budget:

DAIGENDARK SURVEYOR: I put it in the first position or as a tank. Its special ability is 'Magic Reflect'. Since it has no melee attacks, whenever the opponent hits it with magic, half of the damage will be reflected back and hit the opponent.

ABYSSAL ELEMENTAL: This was the main strength of my team. Its 'Resurgence' ability is great. Even if it dies once, it will be reborn with 100% health and armor. Having such a card in a low mana match means half the victory is guaranteed.

TORRENT SNIPER: I put it in the very last position. Due to its 'Snipe' ability, it can directly attack the cards behind the opponent. In addition, its 'Painforge' ability becomes stronger when it receives damage.

When the cards were arranged on the screen after the battle started, there was some tension. Because the opponent's Elf cards looked quite strong.

First Round: Due to the 'Headed Out' rules, the one with more power was killing first. My Abyssal Elemental and Torrent Sniper sharpened their attacks from the beginning. When the opponent's magic cards were hitting my Digendark Surveyor, they themselves were taking damage due to Magic Reflect. The game started to lean in my direction in the first round.

Second Round: This round basically decided the game. The opponent's cards were no match for the power of my Abyssal Elemental. Interestingly, when the opponent was trying to weaken my cards, I snipe-attacked their back row cards one by one. My tank card was still dealing damage, but it was still destroying the opponent with Reflect.

Victory: By the end of the second round, the opponent had no cards left. When the big 'VICTORY!' message appeared on the screen, it was hard to describe the joy. With this victory, I got +20 rating points and 0.628 SPS as a reward. I am currently in the Silver II league, and this victory has boosted my confidence a lot.

In low-mana matches, understanding the correct rules and using the card's abilities is often more important than having a big summoner. Today's battle reminded me of that again. Those of you who play Splinterlands, always pay attention to the ruleset and mana cap when arranging your cards.
