Slinterlands Diary: Opening 3 Gladius Cases and Getting My Incredible Gold Foil!

Those of us who play Slinterlands regularly know the importance of Guild Brawl and Gladiator cards in the world of the game. These cards cannot be bought or sold directly; they have to be earned through hard work and the in-game currency 'Merits'. After saving up Merits for a long time, today I decided to open three Gladius Cases. In today's blog, I will show you step by step how I bought these packs and how my luck was helpful in those exciting moments of opening. Especially in today's pack opening, I got some cards that made my collection even stronger.

I first went to our guild store to buy the packs. When I went there, I saw that I had accumulated about 19,705 crowns and 9,566 merits. To buy a Gladius case, you need Merits. Each pack costs 2,000 Merits. I decided to buy 3 packs, which would cost a total of 6,000 Merits. However, there were some other urgent tasks before buying the packs. I really needed to buy some boosters or stones to increase my chances of getting good cards from the packs. So instead of buying the packs directly, I looked at the stones first.

I first bought 15 'Blood Stones'. The function of these stones is to double the chance of getting legendary cards when opening the pack. Then I bought 15 'Power Stones'. These stones double the chance of getting gold foil cards. Since I will be opening three packs and each pack contains 5 cards, I bought a total of 15 stones so that these boosts work when each card is generated. It cost me some Merits to buy the stones, but it was worth the investment to get good cards.

After finishing all the shopping, I now moved to the pack opening section. I could see on the screen that I had 3 Gladius cases accumulated and 15 Blood Stones and 15 Power Stones were shown as active boosts above. I was a little excited, because getting something good from these packs means improving my performance in Guild Brawl. I moved the mouse cursor over the pack and clicked the open button. Five cards appeared upside down on the screen; now it's just a matter of seeing what fate has in store.

As soon as I opened the first pack, my eyes widened. An amazing 'Gold Foil' card came out of the pack! The card's name is 'Bertrol Gobson'. It is an Earth element card. Getting a Gold Foil card is always a matter of luck, and getting such a thing in the first pack is really a joy. Besides, this pack had Chimney Wallstop, Alfredo, Witch of Warwick and Liza Fox. After opening this first pack, my confidence increased a lot. It felt like today was really going to be a lucky day for me.

With the first pack finished, I prepared to open the second pack. As the cards were being flipped one by one, I saw a golden glow again. I couldn't believe that I would get gold foil cards in two consecutive packs. This time I got 'Orella Abadon', which is a Rare gold foil card. This fire element card is very effective in brawl battles. At the same time, this pack had Relenor Cleaver, Bertrol Gobson (Normal version), Krash Wanderford and Helmet Kharafax. Getting two gold foil cards in two consecutive packs made my pack-opening campaign today completely worthwhile.

Finally, I decided to open my third and final pack. Although I got more than I expected in the previous two packs, I was still curious about the last pack. However, this time there were no gold foils or legendary cards. In this pack, I got Alva the Crusher, Sarius, Isgald Vorst, Whistling Damon and Krash Wanderford. Although there were no special surprises in this pack, I still got some good cards like Isgald Vorst, which will help me level up later. Overall, today's pack opening session was a great success.

Getting two gold foil cards from three packs is a rare occurrence. Those who play Slinterlands know how valuable each of these cards is since they cannot be bought.
