Splinterlands Diary: Experience Opening 3 Gladius Cases and Getting Gold Foil Cards

Those who regularly spend time in the Splinterlands game world know how important Guild Brawl and Gladiator cards are. Although you can fight in Ranked matches with ordinary cards, there is no alternative to Gladiator cards to win Brawl. The special ability of these cards is Bloodlust, which increases the power of the card after defeating each opponent. And the only way to get these cards is to buy Gladius Cases or packs from the Guild Store using Merits. After accumulating Merits by playing Brawl for a long time, I decided to open 3 packs today. In today's article, I am sharing with you in detail the experience of opening those packs and what cards I got.

When I checked my inventory, I saw that I had accumulated about 7,835 Merits. Accumulating Merits in Splinterlands is not an easy task. You have to earn them by playing Guild Brawl every week and maintaining a good position on the leaderboard. Besides, some Merits can also be purchased with Glint. I went straight to the Guild Store. Each Gladius Case costs 2,000 Merits. Since I have enough balance, I ordered 3 packs at once. I was hoping that this time, some good cards would be added to my deck.

The pack was purchased, but not just buying the pack, you need some boosters to increase the chances of getting good cards. Blood Stone and Power Stone play a very effective role in the case of Gladiator cards in Splinterlands. Using Blood Stone doubles the chance of getting Legendary cards, and using Power Stone increases the chance of getting Gold Foil cards. I didn't want to take any risks, so I bought 15 Blood Stones and 13 Power Stones from the store before opening the pack. These work automatically when opening the pack and increase the value of each card.

After completing all the preparations, I came to the main pack opening screen. The 3 packs I have collected are now in front of me. There is a strange excitement when opening a pack in Splinterlands. Because a good Legendary or Gold Foil card can change your entire Brawl career. I saw on the screen that all my boosters were 'ON'. Now I clicked to open the packs and stood in front of that magical portal.

After opening the first pack, I got a total of 5 cards. Among them were cards like Bertrol Gobson, Isgald Vorst and Whistling Damon. Although these are Common cards, they are very useful in small mana fights in Brawl. However, the most interesting card in this pack was Ajax Lightfoot. It is a Rare card, and its attack speed and ability are quite good. The first pack was not too bad, but I was hoping for something bigger. Especially after using Blood Stone, the latent desire to get a Legendary card was working in my mind.

To be honest, I was quite surprised when I opened the second pack. In this pack, I got the thing I wanted that every player dreams of. I got a Gold Foil card! The card is called Helmet Kharafax. Although it is a Common card, its collection power is higher because it is Gold Foil, and it also gives additional benefits when used in Brawl. In addition, I got two more Rare cards in this pack—Orella Abadon and Kotriphus Bayne. Orella Abadon's sneak ability is great for hitting the opponent's cards behind. There were also powerful cards like Chimney Wallstop and Krash Wanderford in this pack. Overall, the second pack was the most successful opening of the day.

It was time to open the last and third pack. In this pack, I got Whistling Damon and Alva the Crusher again. But the most notable card was Captain Katie. This is a Rare magic card and is very popular with those who like to play with water units. Its magic attack directly reduces the opponent's health. In addition, I got a Chimney Wallstop and the normal version of Helmet Kharafax again. I am quite satisfied with what I got from the 3 packs. Especially getting the Gold Foil card was a huge achievement.

Since Gladiator cards in the Splinterlands game are Soulbound, meaning they cannot be bought or sold, collecting them is a matter of patience. The richer your deck, the more likely you are to win points for your guild in Brawl. These cards today strengthened my collection. Especially some good cards from the Life and Water elements will help me a lot in my next battles. In fact, the main fun of this game is using the right card at the right time. Those who have not started collecting Gladiator cards yet should quickly join a guild and start playing Brawl. In the future, we will be back with a big pack opening after accumulating more Merits. Until then, stay well, everyone and keep fighting in the game.
