Splinterlands game: Asel Alagosdil Card Review
Splinterlands is a very familiar name for those who regularly spend time in the world of blockchain gaming or NFT games. To win in this game, it is not only important to have expensive cards, but also to know the strategy of which card to use in which rules and in which position. Today, I will discuss with you a wonderful card of the Water element called Asel Alagosdil. This card is basically an Epic card, and its defensive power makes it different from all other cards. Below is a detailed discussion of various aspects of this card.

Asel Alagosdil is a card of the Water unit with a mana cost of only 4. We know that it becomes quite difficult to win low-mana or medium-mana battles in the Splinterlands game if we do not have a good defensive card. Asel Alagosdil fills that niche. For 4 mana, you get a card with very balanced health and armour. Looking at the card's level 3 stats, it has a speed of 2, armour of 3, and health of 6. Although 2 speed may seem a bit low, its armour and health help it survive in battle for a long time.

The biggest strength of this card is its Divine Shield ability. Due to this ability, the first time an enemy attacks this card on the battlefield, that damage is completely nullified. That is, the first attack does not reduce any of the card's health or armour. This is especially useful in matches where the opponent has very high-damage attackers. Nullifying a powerful attack means giving your remaining cards extra time to attack. Especially if the opponent uses sneak or opportunity attackers, you can create a strong wall by placing Asel Alagosdil in the back.

The card has a special icon called Untrainable next to Divine Shield. This means that this card cannot be trained by weapons in any way. Usually, there are some cards that give the ability to attack non-attacking cards next to it, but Asel Alagosdil cannot take that advantage. This may seem like a negative aspect of the card, but its other stats and low mana cost make up for this deficiency. It is primarily designed as a pure defensive card.

If you think about increasing the level of the card, you will see that its effectiveness increases a lot with each level. At level 1, it has only 4 health and 1 armour. But when you take the card to level 3, its armour increases to 3 and health to 6. The current circulation of this card is over 4,800, which makes it a good collectible card. I currently have a max-level card of it that I use regularly in big tournaments. Considering the current market value of the card and its effectiveness, it should be in every gamer's deck.

Positioning is very important when using the Asel Alagosdil card. Since it cannot attack on its own, it is usually not wise to place it at the front or in the tank position unless you have a special strategy. It is best if it is placed at the very end. Sometimes the opponent wants to quickly finish off the cards behind with a sneak attack. If Asel Alagosdil is there, he can block the opponent with his Divine Shield and Armour. Also, if the battle rules have Equaliser, this card becomes unbeatable because its health increases a lot, and it becomes almost impossible to kill it due to Divine Shield.
I recently used this card in a 16 mana match. My summoner was Kellia Friendul, who increased the armour and speed of my cards even more. I put Asel Alagosdil at the very end and used some low-mana attackers in front. A strong sneak attacker from the opponent was repeatedly attacking my Asel Alagosdil, but it failed because the first attack was blocked by Divine Shield,d and the subsequent attacks took time to break 3 of its armour. During this time, the cards in front of me finished off the opponent's main damage dealers, and I easily won.
In conclusion, Asel Alagosdil is a card that can silently bring victory to your team in the game of Splinterlands. It may not deal any damage itself, but the amount of damage it can withstand is beyond the reach of many expensive cards. If you like playing with the Water element, don't neglect this card. This card can be your trump card, especially in low-mana challenges. Hopefully, today's detailed analysis will help you improve your gameplay. Regular practice and proper use of the card will make you a pro player in this game.
