Splinterlands Guild Store: Opening 5 Gladius Cases and Getting Some Great Cards

One of the most interesting parts of the Splinterlands game is collecting Gladius Cases from the Guild Store through Guild Brawl and the Merits earned through it. These cards play a big role in the game's battlefield, especially in Brawl matches. Recently, I decided to open 5 Gladius Cases from the Guild Store using my accumulated Merits. In today's article, I will share with you my experience of opening that pack and the details of the cards I received.

As the first step to open the packs, I had to go to the Guild Store. I had a total of 15,702 Merits in my account. Each Gladius Case is worth 2,000 Merits. So, I decided to buy 5 packs at once, which required a total of 10,000 Merits.

It is quite effective to use boosters or stones to improve the quality of cards before opening the packs. So I decided to buy the necessary stones from the store to increase the drop rate of the cards. First, I bought Blood Stone, which doubles the chance of getting Legendary cards. It cost me 1,350 Merits for 25 charges with a 10% Guild Lodge discount.

Then I decided to buy Power Stone to double the chance of getting Gold Foil cards. It took me 1,800 Merits to buy Power Stone for 25 charges with a 10% discount. After activating these two boosts, my preparations for opening the packs were complete.

After the preparation, I started opening the packs one by one. Below is a description of the cards I got from each pack:

After opening the first pack, I got some mediocre cards. This pack contained Isgald Vorst (common), Captain Katie (rare), Sarius (rare), Katrelba Gobson (common), and Bertrol Gobson (common). Getting two rare cards as a first pack was a good start.

The quality of the cards was also satisfactory in the second pack. From here, I got Witch of Warwick (common), Ajax Lightfoot (rare), Relenor Cleaver (rare), Katrelba Gobson (common), and Alva the Crusher (common). The defensive cards in this pack will help to strengthen my deck even more.

After opening the third pack, my luck gets a little better. In this pack, I get a nice Epic card. The cards were Chimney Wallstop (Common), Captain Katie (Rare), Edith Emberstar (Epic), Kotriphus Bayne (Rare) and Liza Fox (Rare). The Epic card named Edith Emberstar was the main attraction of this pack.

The fourth pack was the most interesting and surprising part of today's opening. From this one pack, I got two Legendary cards at once, which was really a joy. The cards in the pack are Whistling Damon (Common), Witch of Warwick (Common), Tatiana Blayde (Legendary), Jini Guise (Legendary) and Bertrol Gobson (Common). Getting two powerful Legendary cards like Jini Guise and Tatiana Blayde together is a big achievement for me.

A great surprise was also waiting for me in the last pack. In this pack, I got a Gold Foil card. The cards were Chimney Wallstop (Common), Orella Abadon (Rare), Katrelba Gobson (Gold Foil), Alva the Crusher (Common), and Isgald Vorst (Common). The Gold Foil version of Katrelba Gobson is not only beautiful to look at, but also very effective in Brawl matches.

In conclusion, the experience of opening 5 Gladius cases this time was quite positive for me. The decision to use Blood Stones and Power Stones was the right one, as a result of which I was able to collect two Legendaries and one Gold Foil card. I hope these new cards will help me improve my performance in future Guild Brawls and other battles.
