Splinterlands' Two Great Cards for Water Splinters: My Personal Analysis

Hello, my Splinterlands family, Today, I was digging around a bit in the water deck of the Splinterlands game, and that's when I came across two interesting cards—Abyssal Elemental and Torrent Sniper. Understanding the stats and abilities of the cards is very important to do well in the game. When I looked at the details of these two cards from level 1 to max level, I thought they could be game changers for Water Splinters. Let's share the detailed information I found from my research.

The first card I want to talk about is Abyssal Elemental.

It is a 6 mana card, which looks like a terrifying aquatic monster. I was quite surprised to see its stats at level 1. Although it only has 1 magic attack, it has Speed 2, Armour 2, and Health 5. But the real power of this card lies in its "Resurgence" ability. I don't usually see this ability in all cards.

According to the screenshot, this ability allows the card to self-resurrect with 100% health and armour even after it dies! Not only that, but when it comes back, it deals 1 physical damage to all enemy units. In other words, it not only saves itself, but also weakens the enemy. It's really incredible for a 6 mana card to have such an advantage at level 1.
When I looked at the card's max level (level 6), its power seemed to double. At max level, its magic attack increases to 3, speed to 3, armour to 3, and health to 6. The biggest change is the addition of the "Blast" ability.

Due to its blast ability, when it attacks an enemy, the damage will also spread to the cards around it. Think about it, on the one hand, it is saving itself with "Resurgence", and on the other hand, it is destroying the enemy's entire lineup with "Blast" along with 3 magic attacks. This card alone has the power to turn the tide of the match.
Now let's talk about the price of this card. From what I saw in the screenshot, this card is quite expensive and belongs to the premium category. Buying a level 1 or single card (1 BCX) will cost around $0.54. And if you want to buy the card at the max level (level 6), its market price is around $24.99.

The price may seem a bit high, but considering its abilities, this investment is valuable.

The second card that I analysed is Torrent Sniper. It is a range attack card of 7 mana.

At level 1, its range attack is 2, speed 2, armour 2 and health 8. Although 7 mana seemed a bit high to me at first, its 8 health impressed me. Usually, sniper or range cards do not have that much health. Its main ability is Snipe, through which it directly targets non-military units in the enemy's rear. For those who decorate the rear with magic or healing cards, this card can be a godsend.

As the card increases in level, its effectiveness increases. At level 3, it gets a strange ability called "Painforge". According to the screenshot, if this card is a victim of Poison or Burning, or is accidentally hit by someone in its own team, its power will increase by +1. This is aquite unique strategy. And when you take it to the max level (level 8), its stats are 3 range attack, 3 speed, 3 armor and 9 health. It is also added with the "Weaken" ability.

This Weaken ability reduces the Max Health of all enemy units by 1. That is, it weakens enemies as soon as they enter the field, which is very useful for team games.
In terms of price, Torrent Sniper seems quite affordable to me. Each level 1 card costs only around $0.11 to $0.12. That is, you can collect this card at a very low cost.

Since the price of a single card is low, it will not be too difficult to max level it. In my opinion, getting such a high health and snipe ability card on a low budget is a great opportunity for new players.
Overall, my analysis is that if you have a good budget and want a card that can win matches on its own, Abyssal Elemental is the best choice for you. And if you like to play defensively and want to kill enemies in the back lane at a low cost, Torrent Sniper would be a smart move. I personally am thinking of using a combination of these two cards to strengthen my water deck.
