Two Powerful Cards of the Water Element in Splinterlands game

How are you all my friends? Those who regularly play battles in the Splinterlands game know how important it is to choose the right cards and have an idea of their abilities to win. I have been playing with Water Splinter and various Splender cards for a long time, and today I want to share with you two special cards from my deck.

These two cards are called "Abyssal Elemental" and "Torrent Sniper". I have highlighted their status and abilities through screenshots, but instead of just looking at the numbers, I want to tell you from my personal experience why these cards can be game changers on the battlefield. It seems to me that these cards can destroy the opponent not only because of their attacks, but also because of some special 'weird' abilities they have.

First, I want to talk about the Abyssal Elemental card. It's an Epic card and costs 6 Mana to use. When I first saw this card, its graphics and design impressed me, but its real power lies in its magic attack and special ability. At level 1, it starts with 2 magic damage, 2 speed, and 5 health, along with 2 armor. Having armor gives it some protection from normal physical attacks. But what I found most interesting was its "Resurgence" ability. This is different from a normal re-correction or rebirth.

When I play this card, and it dies, it comes back to life with 100% health and armor! Not only that, but as soon as it comes back to life, it deals 1 physical damage to all of the opponent's units. Imagine, at the last moment of the battle, when all of the opponent's cards are down to zero, this card comes back to life and attacks everyone—it can often turn a sure-to-lose match into a win. And when it goes to max or a higher level, it adds the "Blast" ability. Having a blast with a magic attack means that the cards around the one you hit will also take damage. In my opinion, this card can be a trump card in high mana battles.

On the other hand, the second card I shared is Torrent Sniper. Although it is a common card, its effectiveness surprised me. It requires 7 mana to use, which may seem a bit high, but if you look at its stats, you will understand why it is expensive. At level 1, it has 8 health! It is not common to see a ranged attacker or sniper with so much health.

Usually, archers or snipers are very weak and die in one or two hits, but Torrent Sniper acts like a 'tank'. Its main function is to use the "Snipe" ability. That is, it targets the magic or ranged cards behind the opponent without hitting the first card. I have seen that when the opponent hides their healer or support cards behind, this card finds them and kills them.

However, the most unique or different aspect of Torrent Sniper is its "Painforge" ability, which is unlocked at level 3. This ability is very tricky. If this card takes damage from a Poison or Burn effect, its attack power increases! That is, in certain rulesets (such as Noxious Fumes) where poison deals damage every round, this card becomes stronger even if other cards are weakened.

I have played many matches where the poison increased the power of my sniper and single-handedly finished off the opponent. In addition, at high levels, its "Weaken" ability reduces the maximum health of all opponent cards by 1, which indirectly helps the entire team.

I have some of my own strategies for combining or using these two cards on the battlefield. When I see that the opponent is using a lot of armor or shield, I use Abyssal Elemental because its magic attack directly hits health. And its ability to come back after dying gives me a little extra protection on the frontline.

On the other hand, when I see that the ruleset has an opportunity to use 7 or more mana and there is a situation to 'snipe', Torrent Sniper is my first choice. Especially because of its huge 8 or 9 health, I sometimes put it in the very back (Last position) so that the opponent's 'Sneak' attackers waste time killing it. In this opportunity, the cards in front of me can hurt the opponent.

Finally, I want to say that in Splinterlands, it's not just about having cards; you also need to know how to use them properly. Abyssal Elemental and Torrent Sniper—both have made the Water deck much more powerful. One uses magic to overwhelm the opponent, while the other attacks the enemy's weak spots from a distance. I have seen in my gaming experience that if you can take these cards to max level, it becomes much easier to get a good position on the leaderboard. I hope my analysis and screenshots have given you a better idea about these two cards. I think it would be wise for those of you who like Water Splinter to keep these cards in your collection.
