DeFi on Splinterlands is amazing
Whoever says DeFiis dead know not what they say. I was strolling around my Splinterlands dashboard today and I saw that staking $SPS was giving a yield of 44% APR, it seems like some stakers are unstaking perhaps to prepare for Riftwatchers leaving more yield on the table for the remaining stakers to earn from.
I wonder how much more the APR will grow before the sale of Riftwatchers is over. Then I continued hovering around my dashboard till I found myself at the pools section and saw some yield offers that were unbelievable. Offers as high as 79% at the time of writing this post especially in pools of tokens I’m really bullish on.
Ofcourse the first pool to catch my full attention was the Hive/SPS pool offering 79% APR. Almost double what’s on staking only SPS 🤩, the idea is to select two tokens which you are bullish on and pair them together, that way, in a bullish market, you earn more on both tokens, while in a bear market, such APR will like make up for impermanent losses, for me, at this moment, Hive and SPS are top choice.
There are other interesting offerings in the BNB, ETH and DEC pools with the highest being 82% APR. This is basically money on the table for anyone with liquid assets in any of these tokens. Some people will boldly claim that DeFi is dead and most DeFi apps are broken and interestingly, these sort of people are usually the loudest.
DeFi within a game is GameFi yeah? Or perhaps GameFi touches upon every financial interaction within the game, anyhow it is, Splinterlands offers the best GameFi protocol in Web 3 and that’s on that. If you know any better, I’ll be stoked to hear it. Are you taking advantage of these pools? I totally am.

Gradually, I can start with SPS/SWAP.HIVE and then proceed to DEC/SWAP.HIVE and SPS/DEC.
I don’t hold much DEC. I’ve bought packs with most I had lol. But the DEC pool certainly looks attractive
Same here. I only had around 60k DEC but when the SPS airdrop ended, I started leveling up my cards. Planning to buy more DEC and SPS in the coming days.

Oh I have and I’ve been accumulating those LVL tokens little by little. I saw the big pump a bunch of hours ago, and I’m like okayyyyyy what’s going on.
I’m indeed impressed with the development because many have said the game is a fluff and many other negative things, but the dev never stopped building. That’s a good sign in my opinion. I hope they can carry this energy up until completion.

Yeah it was a drug deal game, and I played it, it had mad prospects too but it seemed the vision of the lead dev was different from what the community wanted, in terms of what will benefit everyone rather than select few. at the end, the lead dev didn’t listen and the game went down along with peoples investment. So I don’t blame people for being salty, but the thing is that we won’t grow by being salty. But we can’t tell people how to feel, devs on the other hand should maintain focus and communication with reasonable approach to openness and expect scrutiny, harsh scrutiny, many of it but still thrive through it

hey bro. I’m planing to buy the minimum of 50 packs so I can get 1 guaranteed airdrop card. I’ve always missed out on these extra versions, I never bought into ORBS, or Azmare dice packs,or any other special edition, this time, I just feel it’ll be nice and I can actually afford it as I’ve been accumulating the vouchers for long.
I don’t know what to do about Tower defense yet o, I might just wait till general sale and be picking the packs little by little. This is my stance for now sha

You can start by writing about the game using relevant tags, entering the weekly writing or art contests on Splinterlands, accumulating those rewards till you’re able to buy the packs, play the game, write more about it, earn, supercharge your earnings using the DeFi platform, use the profit to buy more packs, rinse and repeat.

I'm also a big fan of these pools - it makes sense being in pretty much all of them as I don't know what's going to grow the most in value, so for these yields it's worth the risk, also the Hive-SPS/ VOUCHER-HIVE and DEC-SPS pools it's like doubling your stake with the other half of the asset and then double on what you can earn on SPS.
They're the three I'm in ATM although I'm probably gonna use most of those funds to buy some RiftWatchers packs, but then I'll be restacking after that for sure!
