Most of us are used to seeing these buzz words all over the place and with the buzz words come several hundreds of projects trying to fit the narrative. How do we position ourselves to identify and become part of the best innovative projects that captures the idea of these concepts.

I’ve come to realize that we have different motivations and idea of what the ‘best’ should entail, it is relative, and certainly everyone is entitled to their opinion so this post is very particular to me in the sense that it entails my discovery and opinions accumulated over years of consistent usage and I’m definitely not alone. It also entails the level of my financial exposure at each defining moment.

In order to see where we are going we need to take a look at where we are coming from, based on where I’m coming from, I curated this list of technological trends and the projects that are in my opinion the best fits for the narrative and also to remind myself from time about my focus.

Web 3.0 - Hive

I read an article from Huobi Global today, it was a nice read,really simplifying the components that make up Web 3 and every point they used to describe what it entails is what Hive is, not like most of us on Hive don’t already know this, but they went ahead to fumble when they said

Let’s end with a reminder that Web3 doesn’t really exist – yet. There is no general agreement on it, but we can recognize that it’s a combination of permissionless, transparent systems that can decentralize power from central authorities and solve problems of the internet.

Let’s assume the content writer doesn’t know, how about the editor? Or isn’t there someone in charge of reading through before publishing? It’s hard to assume that all the checks this article went through don’t know, it’s hard for me to accept that Huobi Global will make such flop when I know for a fact that they know what Hive is, has achieved and is achieving.

Huobi global played a pivotal role in joining with Justin Sun to take over Steem, Huobi global was aware of the hostile take over, Huobi Hlobal went ahead to list Hive, so I don’t understand this smelling selective ignorance.

Web 3 doesn’t really exist 🤦‍♀️, you can recognize that it is a combination of permissionless transparent systems that can decentralize power from central authority, yet Hive, which fulfills all these things, doesn’t ring a bell to him(the author) or them(the content creation team) or the entire Huobi Global itself. It’s pathetic.

Anyway, it’s their personal business, my heart goes out to their followers and people who follow everything they say without doing their own research.

For me, Hive and its entire ecosystem fulfills every important context that Web 3 can be described in. I’m so certain that I’m up for debate anytime.

Layer 1 Dex - Thorchain(Rune)

Well, this is easy, show me any other permissionless decentralized exchange out there that has achieved what Thorchain has in terms of security, where else can I exchange my native ETH for native BTC and verse versa plus a bunch of other native tokens and stable coins, where users are the liquidity providers?

I’m waiting.......still waiting....yeah only on Thorchain. I’ve been using the liquidity pool for close to 280 days, I’m confident in the vision of the technology and in the dev team to carry the project into completion.

NFT’s - Splinterlands

This isn’t even up for discussion, I’m riding with Splinterlands as far as NFT’s are concerned, having actively exploring the ecosystem since it began, I can say I understand the ecosystem and the economy to an extent I’m comfortable enough to let it be my number 1 plus I do enjoy playing the game, I get ass my kicked a lot and I kick ass too on my good days.

I know there are a ton of other NFT projects out there, but like I said, my choices are subject to my financial exposure, and that’s more reason why Splinterlands works for me. I also know that there maybe other immense potential financial benefits of delving into other NFT projects but I could say the same for Splinterlands.

I witnessed my account moon from my little investments in the game in 2021, this is why I’m not passing up the chance now, I’m trying to invest as much as I can. Given the track record of the dev team, the community and the technology backing it all up, I’m confident that Splinterlands will turn out great.

When it also comes to Play2Earn, I have a dynamic understanding of Splinterlands ecosystem, or at least I think so, I enjoy the game and I’m heavily invested in it, I know there are other games on the Blockchain but sincerely this one synchronized with me more than any other I’ve laid my hands on.

For some reason I don’t see the need for any other I’ll have to crack my brain for. But who knows, I might just synch with Ragnarok as much as I did with Splinterlands.

Metaverse - Hive

The thoughts I shared in this post are still pretty relevant,, again we will see that Hive is at the helm of it. With the amount of time spent with several dapps on Hive I make use of on a daily, I even own a plot of land on Splinterlands. do I need to say more for anyone to know Hive is the center of my Metaverse?
