A Powerful Defense with a Low Mana Cost

Today I'm going to talk about the Lord Arianthus card, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.
Lord Arianthus is a great choice when it comes to defending and spending little mana because he has excellent defensive abilities, and to have him in battle you will only spend 5 mana.

This is Lord Arianthus, a legendary card from the neutral deck. Unfortunately, he has the disadvantage of not having any type of attack, but this isn't a problem because there's the Training Weapon ability to help him with that.
In the past, Lord Arianthus was one of the strongest defenses in Splinterlands, but currently there are several other great choices, and for this reason it's not very common to find him in battles. I still like to use Lord Arianthus; he's nostalgic for me and is still a great card for battle.
The abilities that Lord Arianthus possesses are: Shield, Void, Magic Reflect, and Thorns.

Shield: 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.
You'll want this ability to protect yourself from melee and ranged attacks.

Void: 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power.
Magic attacks are powerful in Splinterlands, so the Void ability will be very useful to avoid being easily defeated by magic attacks.

Magic Reflect: Returns 50% of damage to the attacker (rounded up) when hit by a magic attack.
This ability is another ally against magic attacks.

Thorns: Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.
You'll want this ability when facing cards with melee attacks.
Now let's take a look at Lord Arianthus in battle.

Watch The Battle
This was a battle where Lord Arianthus was useful against most of my opponent's cards and proved to be a great defense for the battle.
My strategy with Lord Arianthus is simple: I always use cards that have the Tank Heal ability to help him survive longer and the Amplify ability to help with Magic Reflect and Thorns.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony, platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
