My Strategy for the Wands Out Battle Rule

Today I'm going to talk about the Wands Out battle rule in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

I hate facing monsters with magic attacks in battles, and the Wands Out rule is one of my least favorites in Splinterlands, but when I need to face this rule, my strategy is very simple: I use a summoner that grants the Void ability to my monsters and I use monsters that have the Silence ability.

To explain my strategy for the Wands Out rule in more detail, let's take a look at one of my battles.

Watch The Battle

In this battle there is only 1 rule, and that is Wands Out.

Wands Out: In this rule, players can only use monsters with magic attacks.

Developing a strategy for a rule like Wands Out is very easy because you'll know the main attack type of your opponent's monsters, so the Void ability and the Silence ability are perfect for this rule.

Void: Monsters with this ability will only receive 50% damage against magic attacks.

I don't think I need to explain how useful this ability is against monsters with magic attacks.

Silence: Monsters with this ability will reduce the magic attack of enemy monsters by -1.

The description of this ability itself shows how the enemy's magic attack monsters will suffer in battle.

With this combination of abilities, I have a great strategy for the Wands Out rule because my opponent's monsters will deal very little or no damage, as you can see in the battle I showed above.

Now let's look at the cards I used for this battle.

Summoner

  • The summoner was Immortalis, and it's perfect for this rule because all my monsters will have the Void ability in battle.

Immortalis is also very useful because it reduces the enemy monsters' life by -1 and also gives my monsters the Shatter ability.

Monsters

Now let's see the list of monsters I used in this battle, and most of them have one thing in common: they have the Silence ability.

  • Kron The Undying in first position.

  • Goblin Psychic in second position.

  • Arcane Skinwalker in third position.

  • Sporcerer in fourth position.

  • Tortisian Chief in fifth position.

  • Kaori Matsune in sixth position.

Another strategy I used in this battle was to use some monsters with the Tank Heal ability, thus further hindering my opponent's monsters' chances of defeating mine, but unfortunately this strategy wasn't very useful because my opponent had a monster with the Affliction ability. The key was using the summoner Immortalis and monsters with the Silence ability because with this simple combination, my opponent's monsters barely dealt any damage during the battle, and I managed to win without any difficulty because at the end of the battle all my monsters were still alive.

This is a very simple strategy but it's very useful in battles like this. I also recommend using it when the following battle rules apply: Back to Basics, Briar Patch, Fog of War, and Keep Your Distance. I recommend this because with these rules there's a good chance your opponent will use several monsters with spell attacks in the battle.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
