Pairing obsidian and goblin psychic, my love for magic cards.

Joining Splinterlands was a great achievement for me; it looks like I've finally battled with the demon of procrastination. After procrastinating for like a year, I'm finally here. I have said I'm going to give splinterlands more time this year and focus more on it regardless of what is going on. We are already in the month of February, and I'm still in line with my goals and objectives for this year if I continue like this. I would really achieve a lot this year.

My journey on Splinterlands started in January. Well, not too long. I made my first blog about Splinterlands last week. And I feel so much happier within me. So far, so good. I've battled with a lot of people, and I've won and lost battles.
All thanks to my mentor; @valchiz he has really given me lots of time to teach. I owe him a lot. Any time I'm losing battles, he always tells me to learn from my opponent, which I'm doing now. I've come to love playing Splinterlands a lot. I feel so bad whenever I'm losing battles. But he told me it's part of the fun. I'm someone who doesn't like to compete, but when I do, I make sure I win no matter what.
I've played so many battles this week that I've already lost count of them. I'm sure the more I play, the more I become good at playing the game.
Here is one of the battles I enjoyed this week.

I tried using obsidian as my summoner most of this time. And choose magic cards throughout this battle. I tried using magic this time around, as I've not been using it well in battle. I don't want to be adamant about one particular card; I should text other cards and see what I've gotten. Well, I don't have magic cards; I need to rent some cards so I can see a better card to use for two days.
In this game, there is the rule of the briar patch: all monsters have thorns. And also, 32 mana caps were given to me, and all six elements were also part of my rules.

Here is how I arranged my information: I put mycelic infantry in front because it's a melee card. And I used it purposely because it's a strong melee with three amor and seven health. They also have some unique abilities.

Followed by Regal Peryton. I used this because of its speed. I mean, most of the time, the card with a slower speed always misses when they hit it. This is one of the reasons I love to use the card.
I also use goblin psychics. There's one good ability that makes me fall in love with this card. And the ability is the tank heal. Although it has some other abilities, the fact that it can easily heal restores the health units in their first positions, and it does this each round. Which means even if the melee is losing its health, this particular card will restore it each round. Well, I do not stop there; I also choose Ujurak Mystic, Blackamoor Nymph, and finally Xenith Archer.

All these are what I picked to defeat my opponent. He also tried by selecting some good cards, but I outsmarted him in some ways. I love my arrangement of the cards, and I enjoy the battle. I still have a lot to learn, though. I believe the more I play, the more I learn. I learn from other players too when I get defeated, and finally, when I don't get it any more, my mentor is always there for me. So I'm covered all the time.
