Brawl update #7: Losing in a life matchup
Overall guild performance
For this brawl, we placed fourth with a 3 point difference from the third place. We ended the brawl with a record of 47 wins, 26 losses, and 0 draw. From this brawl, we only got x11 CROWNS, and each participating member got a whopping 508 Merits!
Matches are getting tougher and tougher
As we progress in Guild brawls, it is quite evident that the matches were getting tougher and tougher. While I only faced 1 player who used a Gladius card, it is still tough as the enemies are now better and are using better cards as well. In this guild brawl, I was able to rent Selenia Sky and some dragon cards -- all of which helped me a lot in having a better standing compared to my previous brawl.
Mozzie's performance and battles highlight
For this brawl, my record was 6 wins and 2 losses
. One of those wins was from an opponent who fled. Given the increasing difficulty of brawls, I think is a pretty decent performance. The main area for improvement from my part is the monster positioning in Battle #2. In that match, we had almost similar monsters, but my opponent placed the monsters better -- resulting for an additional loss from my end.
At the moment, we are still working on upgrading our Guild Buildings to be able to use those awesome Gladius cards. I'll definitely give an update on that once we have the chance to use it. I'm looking forward to it!

FAVORITE MATCH
My favorite match for this brawl is Battle #2: Tyrus vs. Tyrus. At first glance, I thought that my lineup had a better chance of winning given that I have a monster with reach ability in the second position (totally neglected that shield ability). However, I was proven wrong right off the bat.
By the 8th turn in Round 1, my Elven Cutthroat already died while the opponent's sneak monsters remain undamaged. Fast forward to end of Round 2, both my Sneak monsters are already dead, and this already made the result of this match pretty obvious. Without my Sneak monsters, the only damage dealt are to my enemy's frontline, which only equates to 2 damage per round. My misery ended at Round 8, after my enemy's Feral Spirit dealt the final blow to my Silvershield Warrior. The match ended with my opponent still having 5 monsters on the board.
What I like about this battle is it highlights the importance of proper monster placement, and slight adjustments on a lineup. For this match, the only difference in monsters that we have is I have a Silvershield Warrior, while my opponent has an enchanted Pixie. Putting Enchanted Pixie at the last position was a game changer because it means that I would have to kill it first, before I get to damage its Sneaky teammates. Additionally, the 25% miss chance from Flying can further stall my Sneak monsters. Pretty sure that I'll remember this match again whenever I am building a Novice league Life lineup.
There you have it! Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience in this guild brawl.
