Sympathetic Devil
Derrick Wilson was a replica of the devil. His wickedness is known throughout the region. He reveled in chaos and mischief, tormenting righteous souls and tempting them to succumb to their wasteful desires.
However, deep within Derrick's twisted heart, a flicker of sympathy but we. He grew tired of causing pain and witnessing the suffering he had inflicted upon the souls he encountered. Now, he yearned for purpose, a chance to amend his ways and bring comfort instead of misery.
In this twist of fate, he came across Rosemary. A young woman whose aura radiated pure kindness and innocence. Her soul,untouched by darkness. Intrigued, Derrick decided to follow and observe her actions. He watched as she spent her days helping the less fortunate, spreading love and selflessly catering for the needs of others.
In no time, he was drawn to the compassionate nature of Rosemary. He found himself inexplicably touched by her actions and a sense of longing began to consume him. He wanted to experience the joy that can come from doing good, just as this remarkable woman.
Derrick after some days of thoughtfulness dressed up like an old frail woman and appeared hungry before Rosemary who was sharing food items to destitutes. He attended like every other person and for a share of what Rosemary was distributing. He was welcomed in open arms, her genuine concern etched across her face.
Derrick opened a conversation with Rosemary:
Where did you learn to be this kind?
It's a lifestyle I chose to live.
Rosemary replied to him. He began to genuinely care for the people he once would have scorned. The once malicious devil discovered a new purpose in his existence-to alleviate the sufferings of the innocent.
Over time, word about the changed Derrick spreads around the region. People who used to be scared of his presence started giving a different testimony about him that they named him the "Sympathetic Devil".
