Parental resemblance is one arrangement that shows that one is not a vagabond. I would like to be first grateful that this topic was brought up. Many thanks to the moderators of this community for this thoughtful topic.

What are Traits?

These are distinguishing characteristics or qualities that a person exhibits. Usually, traits are inherited qualities from parents to their offspring. Though, some traits do not come with the gene, they are learned or imbibed through life experience or peer pressure or even the society one one leaves.
However, a parent, biological parents can be individuals (father and mother) whose DNA a child carries. This is the factor that determines who a parent is, DNA.
DNA is an acronym for the molecule that carries genetic information for the development and functioning of an organism.

The above leads me to the foundation that is needed to tell you those traits that I inherited from parents that have in one way or another designed my personality, weaknesses and strength which undeniably forms the basis for which I act or carry myself.

Traits Inherited From Father

During his lifetime, my father was a disciplinarian. That is one aspect that I can proudly say I got from him. I rarely can close my eyes at any evil doing around my corner. While growing up, I noticed those things that father doesn't want me engaged in and the stuff he expected of me. That has however moulded my personality. I soon discovered that this trait is inbuilt.
That however is not the bat trait I inherited from him. My father was a chef. He was so good at it that he got a lot of jobs from the high and mighty for personal engagement and social functions. There was no other thing he was engaged in except preparing recipes.
Going forward, he was known for just one thing. He wasn't a jack of many trades and master of none. Over the years, I have found myself becoming an expert for doing one thing continuously, teaching. Perhaps, I took over my father in that aspect.

Traits From My Mother

My mother has been a good companion to my father. She has been supportive, reasonable, and caring. Not everyone, not every wife exhibits these traits. Mom is very productive. In all these, no matter how much she gets engaged in a productive activity, she doesn't grow lean.
I have discovered over the years that the more I work, the bigger I grow. This means that under any kind of stress, I don't easy get fagged-out.

The reverse of this trait is that when there is nothing to do or get engaged in, I get tired or weary.

I Am Not A Workaholic

Don't get me wrong. There are times I feel like not doing anything as a human. So, I choose to stay away from some task even when my mind is fixed at doing the work.
But when I get to begin a task, I ensure to complete it. My dad once told me that I took after my father in that regard.

Our parents are demigods. Their existence is an extension of ours. As such, we should never neglect or visualize the advantages we have gotten from them and avoid pitfalls where necessary.
