Ifrit Rising is underrated, this is why!

This post is the first Follow up on my recent post here! . Feel free to check it out.

Infrit rising is a card with the recharge ability. As mentioned in previous posts of mine, this ability is very interesting as it changes the way the card functions. Instead of attacking every turn it attacks every other turn. But the damage output on this turn is TRIPLED! This means that in bronze infrit rising will be able to deal a whopping 6 damage in one turn and in silver and above an insane 9 damage.

Ifrit Rising considers himself a demi-god. Huge in size and powerful in fire magic, he travels through underground rivers of magma and emerges from within volcanoes around the lands.

Strengths
To quickly get everyone up to speed this is what is said in my previous post about recharge monsters:

  • Nuke through a high health monster that is being healed a lot by dealing BIG damage.
  • Potential of killing a monster 1 turn earlier because of the triple multiplier in damage.
  • The longer the battle progresses the more potential damage the recharge monster can deal. Again because of the triple multiplier.
  • Cheap cards potential of more rewards because higher bcx and level cards are easier to get.
  • Ignores forcefield as forcefield only acknowledges the initial attack values before multiplying it due to recharge or other abilities.
  • Counters last stand and lama khron.
  • Great synergies with abilities like giant killer, deathblow, piercing, damage buffs, knock out and stun.(yes these indeed multiply)
  • Very satifying for the player when a monster is completely annihilated by recharge.

The downsides of recharge can be summarised by them being very vurnerable or not getting their promised triple damge out due to armor or other things.

What makes Infrit so strong

In his display of strength and ferocity, anyone near him when he emerges either runs in fright, becomes his meal, or worships him as a god. And he is just fine with any of those options.

In my opinion this card is wildly undervalued. Especially with the introduction of the new chaos legion fire summoner JACEK.

This summoner gives all the monsters on your team +2 speed reducing their vulnerability by increasing miss chance and reducing the chance of Infrit being unable to attack by making him able to attack earlier than the opponent.

But that is not all. It also provides your monsters with the scattershot ability which makes the target you are hitting on the enemy team random, and no longer restricted to the monster in first position. Given the low health stats of most other fire splinter cards 9 or 6 damage one shots most monsters, this works especially well on monsters with armour becausse the magic damage is not inflicted upon the armor only the health stat.

And as a cherry on top it provides piercing. This is important for when void armor monsters are played and Infrit damage output can be stopped. Piercing makes the magic attack go through tehe void armor still dealing massive damage. this is very strong agains the life summoner master Raathe.

For Ifrit Rising knows he is superior to all other beings.

Given the low health stats of many monsters in the backlines of many team compositions Ifrit rising allows your team to sometimes get ahead by killing a monster outright by the second turn. Playing other opportunity monsters alongside ifrit is a very good idea as their HP after getting hit by him will most likely be very low, causing the opportunity monsters to follow up and finish the job.

He is able to harness fire magic to his command, and is just as deadly in melee as he is at range.

Just keep in mind this is all my opinion Feel free to provide counter arguments in the comments. I have been relatively succesful playing him in my teams.

Infrit Rsining is very cheap
as of writing this post you can get a max copy Infrit rising for only $ 8.564 and 1 bcx for only $0.749. This is ridiculously cheap compared to all other legendary monsters and he is indeed very undervalued in my opinion.

Conclusion
Infrit does require a little playing around. He needs to be secured in the backline of your team far away from opportunity monsters and snipe and sneak. When you do this and combine him with conqueror jacek this card is an absolute menace and will help you win games. And all this while both jacek and Infrit are cheap to rent. And Infrit is VERY cheap to buy.

He is currently resting deep underneath the Mountain of Ash on Praetoria.
