My 10th day in Splinterlands: When luck doesn't help, the frustration of a low rating, and some great rewards
Hello Hive and friends of the Splinterlands community.
I hope you are all doing well. It seems like my 10th day in this wonderful and exciting world of the Splinterlands game has been completed. Seeing the '10 DAILY STREAK' written inside the game made me feel pretty good. I am playing the game regularly every day, putting in the time and trying to learn new tricks. However, not all days are the same. In the world of games, there is great joy in winning, as well as the disappointment of losing in a row. Today I am here to share with you in detail how my day was, what new rewards I got and how difficult the current state of the gameplay is.

The beginning of the day was quite surprising and joyful. Like every day, the first thing I did after entering the game today was to spin the 'Lux's Favor' or Daily Wheel. To be honest, after the simple rewards of the last few days, I did not expect anything big when I spun today. But luckily, the spin wheel stopped at a place that surprised me. I got a wonderful card skin called 'Carnival' for free. It's really great to get a beautiful card skin like this at the very beginning of the game. Although I know very well that using a card skin does not increase the internal strength, health or power of the card, but it can completely change the external appearance of the card. The card will look quite attractive in this new outfit on the battlefield. After getting this skin, I thought that today would be a very lucky day, but when I went to the actual gameplay, I realized that the reality was completely different.

Now, let's talk about my bitter experience of gameplay. Honestly, luck has not been helping me at all for the past 3 days. No matter how much I calculate, position the cards correctly and build a strong team by matching mana, I have to lose to my opponent again and again when I go to the battlefield. Just look at my match history and you will see the proof of my plight. Out of the last 25 matches, I have managed to win only 10 matches and have lost the remaining 15 matches.
My rating started to drop drastically due to the continuous losses. Where I had fought hard to maintain my place in the Bronze II league, I have been repeatedly losing my rating and have been relegated to the lower league, i.e. Bronze III. Currently, my rating has dropped to just 360.

If you take a closer look at the screenshot of my last loss that I shared, you will understand how difficult the game's matchmaking can be at times. While my account rating is only 360 and I am not affiliated with any guild, I was given a person as my opponent who has a rating of 720. That is, his rating is exactly double that of mine. Not only that, but the level and type of cards on his team were also much better than mine. My fire team cards couldn't put up a fight against such a strong opponent. As you can see in the screenshot, I had to helplessly admit defeat in that match that ended just 77 seconds ago. I had no choice but to lose to a strong card with such a large rating gap. Losing like this repeatedly is quite frustrating as a new player. But I'm not one to give up. I'm not getting discouraged by this loss, but rather trying to learn how higher-rated players arrange their cards.

Despite being so frustrated by so many losses, I continued to try to complete my daily missions. Even after losing, I played many battles just to meet my daily target. Today, I had a total of 3 daily missions in Frontier Bronze 2 and 3. Out of these, I was able to complete the first 2 missions with great difficulty.
When I claimed the rewards after completing the missions, all the pain of losing seemed to have gone away to some extent. As a reward for completing 2 missions, I received a total of 3 new cards today, and 2 entry tokens were also credited to my account. One of the cards is a wonderful 4-mana magic card 'Codex Sage' and another is a 6-mana 'Spitting Camel'. And the biggest find is a powerful 8-mana epic card 'Kicking Rock'. These great cards have enriched my collection even more, which I believe will help me to make a new start in the upcoming matches.

All in all, my 10th day was quite eventful. On the one hand, there is the shame of consecutive defeats and the pain of dropping ratings, on the other hand, there is also the unbridled joy of getting free card skins and all the great cards obtained from missions. There will be ups and downs in crypto games, that is the rule. I am very hopeful that tomorrow my luck will turn around and I will be able to make a strong position in the Bronze 2 League again.
