The Chaos Legion - The Lore and what we know so far
So far 2 stories have been released related to the Chaos Legion
The overarching theme is people overtaken by ambition unable to notice that they are gradually going towards their demise. Lovecraftian type horror, where the shadows are unnatural and the silence unnerving. You can feel that something is wrong but cannot pinpoint it. You have to supress your senses that are alarming you to get out, because if you were to say that tree is out of place in a forest you would be considered crazy.
There is something behid the veil of reality. It calls to you. It messes with you. It decieves you just enough for you to dismiss it as nothing worth paying attention to. It is older than time and it knows all the tricks to get you to listen.
Promising you power and success, rest and comfort it lets you weave your own web in which you will get entangled in. It is not evil, it is chaotic. It does not have a goal, it only wants nothingness to replace everything that is. What can a messenger and a botanic do when faced against terror without cause. You cannot attack the foundation of its ideology, because there isn't any. You cannot cut it with an axe. You cannot shoot it with a bow. It is always on the move, one step at a time. It comes in the dreams of ordinary men, warping their reality a little. Making the dreams themselves unordinary. At a first glance everything is in place, but should you take a better look you will notice that the shadows are weird, and the birds chirp unnaturally.
Notes and whatnot:
- We might get a Splinter or a Legendary card called Doctor Blight
- More Venari Archetype
- Silas, also a Legendary or a Summoner card.
However all of this is just stuff I think could happend. While reading the stories I found these things to be quite plausible. Nevertheless I decided to write this little piece while Im waiting for my quest to refresh. I hope you had a fun read.
