Tried SPS rental Market for a Week and my experience

I am doing good, and I hope that you are having a good time with your near and dear ones. I was away for two weeks so I don't know what is going on in the splinterlands after the change with sps stake

I did buy ten thousand SPS at the right time and the price was a little low and I'm happy that I could do this. I have also used the market option to delegate it to some other player and that way it got me some reward with DEC tokens. I was expecting that the after a week of seven days my delegation will be auto cancelled but it did not happen and I was not even aware of it. I did the delegation on 12th July so after 7 days this should be canceled on 19th but since I was under the impression that it is going to be automatic so I did not check. My power was used by the player for another five days without any reward and it is a loss for me so from now onwards I'll be careful.

I checked the market for the delegation just now and I'm surprised to see that very few people are interested to take the SPS power on rent. The prices are low and demand is also pretty low and that too in very small parts. I was looking for a bid that should be in a bigger amount so that I can get it all delegated at once but seems like as of now it is not available so I will wait for some time.

This is how the market is looking like this time when most of the people are looking for SPS in a few hundred and that too at a lower price. I think the rental price is somehow OK but they should be expecting or placing bigger bids otherwise how can these 100 SPS is going to make them see some better returns on reward? I'm not sure because I have not been active for the last two weeks so do not know how this market works but I would look forward to seeing if there are bids for the bigger amount and I would love to fill that even if the price is slightly low.

I have got over 10K SPS power in my account and with the APR up more than 16% I think it will get me a good amount of tokens which is going to be part of this as and when I can do it. I will try if can grow my sps holding even more because I think the APR is still good compared to what we earn in many other markets or even in the traditional markets. if the price of SPS grows in the coming months then the value of my holding will be even better but my plan is not to sell it off but instead generate some passive returns through this. let's see how much success I get in this area because I know things are just starting up and might take some time to be in a better place
