Share an really epic battle using Defender Of Truth! [AND A FREE TEXT DIVIDER FOR YOUR POSTS]
Greetings to all!
This week I think the challenge went into hard mode, because this card, although quite decent, is difficult to use for a battle in which the card has real prominence, and that's just because it's a pretty ''normal'' card. But we can always look for ways to give epicity to these battles, that's why we play Splinterlands, to be prepared for these moments. So here we go!
For this battle I had the Aim True rule, which didn't help my Defender Of Truth at all, but that wasn't going to be necessary because her teammates would make her shine, her teammates and also her shield, which was decisive in the battle. In addition to 44 Mana points and a ban on Fire and Water elements.
The Summoner.
Daria Dragonscale is a 4 mana point Dragon summoner that has the ability to increase the melee attack of your monsters by +1, again, she didn't help the Defender Of Truth at all, so why use her? there are dragon summoners that serve her like Delwyn Dragonscale, but my idea was to make all the monsters around the Defender strong and have the Defender himself go to finish the job, not to start it.

My favorite card in the game, I use it whenever I can.

His skill plus the ruleset made him very strong in this battle.

Round 1
The battle began with The Vigilator making his double attack, followed by the first attack of the Defender, followed by the Royal Archer, Centaur and Robo-Dragon, finishing with the Black Dragon, ending the turn with the Centaur falling by the attack of his Sand Worm.
Round 2
In round 2, the cycle was repeated, first the Vigilador's double attack, which knocked down his tank. The Defender did damage to his Haunted Spirit while the Royal finished with his Haunted Spider, the Robo-Dragon and the Black Dragon left almost dead the Spirit, the turn ended with his Sand Worm giving an end to the Royal Dragon, something had to be done with that card urgently or he was going to leave me without monsters.
Round 3
In round 3 the Vigilador and the Defender left the Haunted Spirit KO'd, at this point is where the Defender Of Truth had more importance, his shield made him withstand a blow from the Sand Worm that came being a killing machine and avoiding that blow was what helped me win this battle in an epic way.
Round 4
In round 4 the Vigilador did his thing, so did the Defender and the Robo-Dragon finished the job with the Octopider, the Black Dragon attacked the Sand Worm and then the Sand Worm finished off my Robo-Dragon. The battle was coming to an end and the winner was already clear.
Final Rounds
In round 5 the Vigilador was going to attack first and the Defender would be in charge of killing the most dangerous card of the opposing team in this battle, and the rest is history, his Elven Defender was left alone in the Tank position, with no chance of killing my Black Dragon because of his vampirism and receiving 5 damage per turn, he only lasted one more round and fell, giving me the victory.
In the end it ended up being a little different than I thought but still the Defender Of Truth did his job perfectly and ended up being the most important of the fight to nullify the Sand Worm with his shield, the truth had no way to prevent this move so yes, this was not strategy, it was luck, but that also counts, in the end, winning is winning.
