¡Bienvenido!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new Weekly Challenge post, today we go again with a Life Splinter Card of Chaos Legion Edition. This week I was very excited to know that the card to use was Time Mage, first because it is my favorite design of all Chaos Legion edition and second because with it you can do real wonders. I think it's a great card with a lot of potential and a very good starting ability, plus a perfect balance between stats and mana, but we're going to talk more about it in this post so don't wait any longer. Welcome!

Time Mage is a Rare card from the Chaos Legion edition of Splinterlands that belongs to the Splinter Vida. It is one of the current starters, in the graph below you can see its stats, it costs 4 points of mana and from level 1 comes with its main attraction which is that Slow ability, one that in my experience is quite important in the current Meta, because the speed is paramount, whether you decrease it in your enemy or increase it in you and of course, if you can do both much better.

How do you take advantage of this card?

The Time Mage combines 3 perfect stats to align it whenever possible, a cheap mana, magic attack and a good ability. The idea is to get the most out of this last one, combining it with cards that take advantage of Slow, for example cards with Fly or Dodge ability, its medium-low mana makes it perfect for almost any alignment and helps a lot to the Ranged + Sloan deck that is not very fast, its life is not high so you should take good care of it to do a lot of damage and support your team, it goes without saying that you should place it between positions 3-4 and 5 of your team whenever possible.

There is a strategy I use with Byzantine Kitty + Void Dragon that works perfectly with Time Mage because it is based on maximizing speed as much as possible to dodge a lot.

Llegó el momento de luchar. ¿Estan listos? veamos la siguiente batalla:

Analizando el ruleset.

It's time for fight, are you ready? let's see the next battle:

Analyzing the ruleset.

gfdf.png

Silenced Summoners may not be liked by many people but I think it is one of the rulesets that has more alternatives because you have to improvise the strategy without the summoner's buff, also Melee Mayhem allows you to take advantage of it although as you will see below none of us try to take advantage of it except my opponent with his Disintegrator. In this battle I used a variation of my Kitty + Void Dragon strategy:

  • Bloom as my summoner, since I was not going to grant buff for the ruleset I chose the cheapest of all to save mana.

  • Djinn Chwalla as a tank, if I used Melee cards most of them would attack this dragon and take a lot of damage from the spines.

  • Carnage Titan as a secondary tank, I have fallen in love with this card as I have been using it, it does a lot of damage.

  • Void Dragon, the key piece of this lineup, you'll see why later on.

  • Time Mage in fourth position, as the support of all the others, just like I talked about in this post.

  • Doctor Blight in case my opponent used Magic with Obsidian (which is what ended up happening) thanks to his ability that prohibits healing, and if he didn't use magic then all the better, with his magic damage he would be another support for my tank.

  • Venari Crystalsmith is another perfect companion, like all Venari, seriously I find them excellent cards, with its healing of the Tank would help my cards to stay on the field longer, ended up being paramount also with Void Dragon.

It was clearly going to be a long battle, but since round 2 I was already marking advantage with my strategy, I have said before that a weakness of Obsidian's magic deck is that it concentrates all the attack in the first position and if you manage to support that, there is no way you can lose, his Mycelic Morphoid had already fallen and his other Mycelic was close to fall too.

image.png

In round 3 of the battle my Chwalla fell and this gave me no disadvantage but quite the opposite, the idea of this deck was that Void Dragon reached the first position with the enemy team as damaged as possible and that was perfectly fulfilled.

image.png

image.png

In round 4 I was about to start the real party when my Carnage fell, my Void Dragon had Void for 3 opponent cards and a tremendous chance to dodge the attacks of the other 2 and also receiving healing every turn from my Crystalsmith. There was no way I was going to win this battle, everything was going to be decided the moment my Doctor Blight's Affliction affected his Mustang Unicorn.

Buen combate
