Regal Peryton - Miss much?

Earth splinter is my biggest weakness as I decided to sell most of it in order to improve all my other splinters. Not the smartest decision I made but at that time I didn't know how far splinterlands would go. I still own some earth cards but mostly to play using a dragon splinter summoner.

The Regal Peryton is very fast, hitting this thing with physical damage is a nightmare. On top of a great speed stat, it also has the flying ability making it even harder to hit.
The remaining stats are quite average for a card that costs 5 mana, health points are good enough to survive 2 or 3 attacks. Using magic attackers completely counters all that the Peryton has going for it.

BEST RULESETS

Earthquake - Having the flying ability and being able to attack from any position makes it a great card to play in this scenario.

Lost Magic - Magic is one of Regal Peryton's biggest weaknesses, eliminating the ability to use magic attackers turns it into a nightmare for your opponent. Once it reaches the frontline it is almost impossible to land an attack on it.

Spreading Fury - Although it doesn't benefit from the damage buff it does get a lot faster once enraged. Landing a physical hit on an enraged Peryton with a speed stat of 9 (Depending on the level) will be almost impossible. The speed is useless if battling magic attackers though.

Mana Cap: 23
Battle Link

I placed the Xenith Monk at the front followed up by the Peryton in order to tank incoming damage while the rest of the team delivers most of the damage.

Round 1

My frontline quickly drops and my infiltrator misses a crucial blow that would have knocked down the undead badger not allowing it to strike my backline at the beginning of the next round.

Round 2

The annoying badger manages to squeeze one hit in before dropping, dragging my furious chicken and the infiltrator shield with him. The shield was crucial to ensure the infiltrator could strike the thorns twice before dying. My team also managed to knock out both the Life Sapper and the Venari Bonesmith. My Vulture also manages to dodge one of the incoming attacks.

Round 3

My infiltrator dies to thorns damage because of an earlier miss and I slowly chip away his front liner.

Round 4

I lose the Venari Scout to thorns damage and both his attack connects.

Round 5 & 6

I was hopping that my flying speedy vulture would be able to dodge every now and then but apparently, he can't. He couldn't dodge any of the two attacks coming from an enemy with less than half the speed, not to mention the flying ability.

This defeat was especially frustrating since all I needed was to not miss at the beginning of the match. To compensate for that I would expect my opponent to miss at least twice on my faster and flying monsters but the RNG gods were on my opponent's shoulder.

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21

Good battle, although you can place even more details of the battle, talking more in depth about your strategy would be excellent, in addition to improving the format of your posts.
