Rebellion Is Here!

Hello Splinterfans!

Today has been a great day for Splinterlands with the launch of Rebellion. It is a really exciting time as we have so many changes to the game coming all at once. The first thing I did was to open my first Rebellion pack and see what I pulled.

With my first pull I was pretty lucky to get the Avina of the Wolf, which is a rare life summoner with that new tactical ability! I then went and played a round of modern as now untamed and dice cards have rotated out and rebellion in, I was curious to see how it would look without some key cards.

I had the choice of +2 speed or healing and could select who to give it to. I gave it to my tank and it didn't really help me in my first game. Also, the summoner was a level 1, which was not good against a level 2 summoner! However, it was exciting to play with the new dynamic of the game.

Can I continue to play in the gold league without upgraded rebellion cards? I think it could be quite tough. Most of the teams I was playing against looked like they had only soulbound cards only.

I then checked out Peakmonsters and need to consider what new summoners do I want the most. Should I buy the single cards or go for more packs?

There are quite a few new monsters to buy too. I will need to spend the next weeks figuring out which are the most useful, probably by an opponent beating me with them, that has been the learning curve for me until now.

This is going to require quite a bit of DEC to upgrade my deck, but this is not the only thing happening now on Splinterlands. Land has also launched and I still didn't get some land yet and start mining it. Plus I would like to pick up some of those untamed bargains to add to my collection. So many options right now and a limited amount of DEC.

With all these things happening in Splinterlands, the price of SPS has also been climbing and seems to be a top performer in the GameFI space.

I need to have a game, just to see the 2nd phase. This time I am not excited, Land was my thing and this hasn't got me jumping up and down.

I saw the launch of Land was pretty big and the market impact even greater. I think the Rebellion, with the cards, rotation, new gameplay is pretty big too though. But I still need to have a bigger look at land.

I'm taking it slow as well, I want to see how things "settle" down before buying in big.

I was only able to buy 25 packs in the presale, so I didn't really get to much to write home about. The new tactics are interesting, but who knows how it might change the game. I plan on waiting for the prices to come down and then I will pick up cards as I need on monster market.

That sounds like a good strategy. I think many are playing wait and see how the prices develop.

It's been a long time I played Splinterlands game.
Congratulations for your new cards. I think my favorite is "Avina of the Wolf".
I can't wait to see you make use of them extensively and let us know how it goes.

I’m sure that so many members now will just be learning how to use each cards and it is gonna make so many people feel like a newbie again

I haven't played any of the cards yet, I'm still trying to decide which ones I want' to level up (which means buying lots of copies). Problem with packs is you never know what you'll get. I opened several packs and no epic or legendary cards came my way unfortunately!

Yeah it's all up in the air right now. Some of the new cards are sweeping the floor with those not upgraded. Sorry to hear you didn't get the legendary yet! I didn't either, but will hopefully get one soon!
