Splinterlands - End of Season 108 Highlights

Hello Splinterfans!

Another exciting season has come to an end and it seems the rewards and earnings just keep getting better. Although land is on everyone's lips right now, I have been concentrating on my daily ranked rewards and brawls.

Speaking of brawls, the current brawl has ended and I am happy to have 7 from 7 wins in the bag, this is not always usually the case. My Guild won by 30 points, so it was good to grab another 1st place.

This season I have been focusing on grabbing some extra summoners and bought Aquatus and Dallan. Mostly I have been using Dallan as I'm not sure the best way to use Aquatus yet. I also upgraded my Tarsa from level 6 to Max. I am still waiting for a good offer for Bortus, but didn't grab one yet.

Looking at my season match report, my stats are pretty similar to previously. Nothing really stands out except my falling win ratio in modern, and I mostly am playing modern.

My End of Season chests were pretty good and this time I got a shakey-shakey. The legendary Aves Sturgis and two copies too! He is a new addition to my deck and I am looking forward to testing this new weapons training ability.

Overall, this was my best season results ever! I beat my previous 5 CL packs record this time by bagging 6! This includes the awesome gold foil legendary Usut plus the 2 legendaries that I got today is 3 overall!! BOOM!

Things have been going well for Macguivertoo, he is my alt bot account. I am collecting level 1 cards only for him and this season I bought him quite a few cards to bolster his deck including a Brighton Bloom. I will need to buy him an Immortalis and Possibilus at some point and they are not so cheap.

In the meantime, he has been battling away in the silver league only.

The end of season rewards were not so great compared to my main account. He got 3 chests less than last season but seems to have collected more cards.

This season he managed 103(114) silver chests which is quite a bit lower than last season. Overall though he has gathered a nice haul of cards including a gold foil.

I have still been slowly exiting the rental market by selling any unneeded cards or upgrading cards that I need to play with. This is taking some time due to the number of cards but also some cards have crashed in price and I am not sure if I should sell them at such a big loss or not, so I just keep hold of them for now.

My rental income is pretty steady although lower than last season at around 7k DEC. This is more work than it is worth for a small amount like this and therefore I intend to exit the rental market almost compeletly. The way I look at it is, that you cannot be involved in everything and I prefer to focus on playing the game and stacking SPS than understanding the intrequecies of the rental market, although I am sure it can still be profitable, especially once the changes to land staking are brought in.

There has been lots of news and excitement about land and so far I didn't get involved at this stage, but this could change in the next land 1.5. It would be nice to survey some land and get a castle but maybe I can do that in the future.

One thing I did do today was buy 25k SPS and stake it to my account. The race toward 50k staked SPS is getting closer. I am sure this will pay off well in the next bull run.
