Splinterlands - Season 124 Highlights - Back in Gold
Hello Splinterfans!
Season 124 has ended and I have been grinding my way back to gold after not playing a few weeks when sick. It has been a pretty tough grind learning the new tactics in bronze and silver and then finally on the last day of the season I reached Gold III.
I hope that I will be able to get back to gold faster this time as I don't have too far to get from silver II. I am looking forward to playing more gold games as I have missed them!
It is a real game changer since rebellion dropped and the whole dynamic in modern has changed and brought in some fun new gameplay. I am missing a few of my favorite cards, but I am rediscovering some other useful ones.
The big news is that Riftwatchers has sold out, so it can make sense to try and get those Riftwatchers cards you need before they sell out. With that in mind I decided to try and buy a couple of more cards and make some upgrades. I still have some way to go to get the full colleciton that I want, but its nice to add to my collection a little.
My main buy was a level 3 Raa to bolster my death deck, but I tried to add a couple of other cards too. Septic Slime and Time Meddler might be useful now the rotation has happened and I deicded to upgrade Coastal Nymph to level 6 too.
Mostly I am wanting to get the remaining legendaries and summoners next. Fernheart could be very handy along with Ilthain.
My end of season results were not too great really with not so many cards or SPS.
However, my full season results were much better with a decent haul of gold foils and couple of legendaries.
My staked SPS has increased to 106000(105849). My overall SPS income was again lower than last season. I hope with me playing more in the higher leagues, it should go up this season.
Land seems to be working out well for people and I am still looking to find some time to buy a plot of land and get my farm working. Hopefully soon.

The value on my end of season rewards was only about $1.70, but I think that's because all of the cards are soulbound right now. I got 65 chests total and got a couple GFL's a plain legendary and some other GF's as well. It was a good haul for me.
That sounds like a pretty good haul! It is nice to see the soulbound cards level up and get some gold foils. I wonder if it will make sense to unlock them at some point.
They say they are going to, but if they keep releasing packs, it may not matter.

Riftwatchers had some great cards, some of my favorites came out of there. That was a nice EOS, and you have a lot of SPS staked, that's great! Now if we can only get it up to a dime!
