The Return of General Sloan!

Hello Splinterfans!

With the Rebellion drop and the rotation of untamed and dice out of modern, we are seeing quickly which cards are becoming meta and grinding out good wins. For me, one of the current meta cards is the awesome General Sloan!

Yes, the General is back and kicking some serious ass in modern! With many of the counters to him gone, he is able to pull off some nice wins for you in modern.

A max level Sloan now costs just $26, I remember picking him up for around $80 back in the day. Who would have thought such a great summoner could be picked up so cheaply?

With the boost to ranged attack, he is really still packing a punch in modern because you still have some great ranged attack in the life deck.

Combined with General Sloan, Venari Crystalsmith, Pelacor Arbalest, Runeslinger and Prismologist are packing a serious punch! Not to mention if you have the awesome Zyriel!

Not forgetting the great soulbound ranged attacker War Pegasus who has the very handy shatter ability that can be very useful for those stubborn well shielded opponents. He also can fly along with Pelacor Arbalest, so those earthquake rulesets are also a possibility with Sloan!

In this battle, Sloan takes down the mighty Uriel the Purifier who I really like too, but this time he is no match for the buffed ranged attack of Sloan.

Even though many summoners are gone, the arch-enemy of Sloan Quix the Devious is still in modern, and you might think he is still a threat. However, he is no longer a prime choice for many as they won't expect you to pull out Sloan and will surprise them!

Next up he takes down the Drybone Barbarian and Captain Katie combo! Go General!!!

It is great to see the General back in action and packing some punches for the life deck. Just when you think he is down, he is back again!
