You help the Hive ecosystem each time you make a post. You just don't have to use #peakd it's not like the #splintertalk hashtag they do things uniquely where they ONLY show #splinterlands content. Any post posted to anywhere on hive already shows up on peakd.com.
Hope that explains it better.
