The Opportunist Mordeus.

Mordeus.jpg

Greetings.

I tried Mordeus on the battlefield in level 1 that offers a special ability.

Opportunity: Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

This is a melee attack monster and normally, a melee monster can attack only from the front position unless its abnormal. And the abnormality happens for this monster having its special ability that allows it to attack from any position and targets the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Let's get to the battle.

Here's the battle link if you wish to check.

Choosing Monsters

My TeamOpponent's Team
Grum FlamebladeUnicorn Mustang
Fineas RageMycelic Slipspawn
MordeusRegal Peryton
Kobold MinerKhmer Princess
Ant MinersGoblin Psychic
Battering RamXenith Archer

Both my opponent team and I created our team selecting six monsters each where I used fire element and my opponent used earth element.

Choosing Plado Emberstorm as the summoner, I used six melee attack monsters and all of them has some special abilities that allows them to attack from their positions. And the battle was covered with standard ruleset so everything stays normal with standard mechanics.

The Battle

My team got the first kill and that's in the first round after Mordeus did a huge damage. My Fineas Rage had the most speed among all monsters in both team and it attacked first and my opponent's Unicorn Mustang lost three health portions. Then opponent's Regal Peryton and Unicorn Mustang attacked my Grum Flameblade one after another and my Grum Flameblade lost the whole armor portions with two monster attacks. The opponent team used a monster with taunt ability that attracts opponent monsters to attack it first so my monsters started attacking it.

First my Battering Ram took away two health portions, then my Mordeus attacked with six melee where the opponent monster lost six health portions and kept only a single health now. Then my Kobold Miner attacked the same opponent monster and my team got the first kill. Battering Ram and Mordeus should've attacked opponent monster with the lowest health as they had opportunity ability and my Kobold Miner should've attacked the last opponent monster instead of the first monster as it had sneak ability but all of them attacked and killed my opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn first because the opponent monster had taunt ability.

With the joy of that kill, my Ant Miners gained 1 max health using scavenger ability. Then my Grum Flameblade did a big damage on my opponent's Unicorn Mustang where the opponent monster lost five health portions out of six health portions. Then my opponent's Khmer Princess attacked and killed two health portions of my Grum Flameblade. Opponent's Goblin Psychic then used tank heal ability where opponent's Unicorn Mustang gained three health portions and then Goblin Psychic attacked and killed three health portions of my Grum Flameblade. And at last Xenith Archer of my opponent team attacked and killed one more health portion of my Grum Flameblade at the end of round 1.

The second round started where my Fineas Rage attacked and killed three health of my opponent's Unicorn Mustang. Then my opponent's Khmer Princess and then Unicorn Mustang attacked my Grum Flameblade where my Grum Flameblade lost all health portions and died and my Ant Miners gained 1 max health from this kill as well. Then my Battering Ram attacked and killed the last health portion of the opponent's Unicorn Mustang and the opponent monster died. My Mordeus then attacked Khmer Princess with six melee attack when the opponent monster had the lowest health portion (one health) so the opponent monster died.

Then my Kobold Miner attacked Xenith Archer and that opponent monster died as well losing its only health portion. My Ant Miners kept gaining 1 max health for each kill and now it has 5+ health portions that its regular health portion. The opponent's Goblin Psychic attacked my Fineas Rage and killed three health portions.

The third round started where my Fineas Rage first attacked and killed three health portions of my opponent's Regal Peryton and that opponent monster then attacked back and killed two health portions of my Fineas Rage. Then my Battering Ram attacked and killed last two health portions of my opponent's Regal Peryton and the opponent monster died.

And at last my Mordeus took turn and attacked opponent's Goblin Psychic with six melee attacks when the opponent monster had only two health portions so the opponent monster died and I won the battle. My Ant Miners gained +2 health portions for last two kill as well and accumulated total seven health's for all kill that happened.

So, what do you think of Mordeus and about my play?

How do you like me explaining what I'm experiencing?
If you like it, feel free to like, comment & share. I will soon come with another post writing what happens next.

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21

This card is great, I liked the battle you shared, the only thing I could recommend is that you focus a little more on explaining how you thought of each strategy you share, this will surely help newer users to understand the gameplay, otherwise good job and keep up the good work.
