Splinterfund Updates - Things are looking promising again

Background

Been playing Splinterlands since 2021 Jul and after understanding the economic of Splinterlands, I highly believe that profit could be made from the ecosystem. As a result, I decided to raise money from a small group of people for a total $8000 USD, aiming to buy 2000 packs of Chao Legion Pack in Janurary 2022 during the start of the general sale.

Development since then

The fund has stopped opening packs at 1658 and since majority of the fund assets is still in chao packs, the value of the fund heavily depends on the price of the chao packs.

Thanks to the burning of CL and the bulk/discount sales, chao pack has rebound from $1.50 to currently $2.47.

Airdrops

And these are the 2 latest airdrop legendary summoners.

With the addition of a gold foil and 2 standard immortalis and 6 standard astral entity, it add $300 value to the fund, reducing of the losses.

Rental

The cards that are obtained from opening the chao packs are still continue to be rented out on a daily basis with the help of Splex. It managed to accumulate 323k DEC from rental and it is currently worth $235.

The value of the cards is worth about $1800.

SPS

The fund has 12k SPS staking. It is worth about $346.

The fund also can get about 120 vouchers from the staked SPS.

With the ongoing DEC battery sale, voucher price has increase to $0.10 so it is a good time in selling the vouchers for about 29.5hive.

Fund value = $4100 + $235 + $1800 + $345 + $35 = $6515.

Overview

The fund has suffered a loss of 19.5% but i am actually quite delighted. As a general quick compare with other crypto, 19.5% loss is actually quite minimal.

And this fund is in a good position to enjoy potential pump.
If crypto pump, SPS can gain in value.
If chao sale is sold out, chao packs can increase its price.
If DEC reached its peg, we also can enjoy a bit of $$
If hive value pump, actually it will hardly impact the fund. Haha.
