Another thing to consider is that DEC's par value is not defended. It has dropped as low as 40% of par and has risen to 1500% of par.
On both sides, they let the market dynamics play out, and tweaked things along the way.
Right now we are sitting at about 70% of par and that just allows people to get discounts to the degree that they want. Or not.
Systems get into (more) trouble when they try to overrule the market. The Splinterlands team is smart enough to just keep on building and let the value speak for itself. Or not.

SPT has a bigger potential look at the NFT action and if what I think i can make happen with a external partnership everyone will use it. It will makea real easy way to spend your assets plus add a 5 cent per transaction fee 50% goes to a new player fund and 50% goes to me.
