Angelic Mandarin, my drawing in colored pencils

Angelic Mandarin, mi dibujo en lápices de colores

This is another one of the drawings I made these days based on creatures from the Splinterlands universe; in this case it's the creature Angelic Mandarin, which is a kind of amphibious fish that lives in this universe. For my drawing I will be using colored pencils and the old ruined sketchbook that I set out to fill with colored pencil drawings. I want to capture the essence of this magical creature and increase my collection of colored pencil drawings in this sketchbook.

Este es otro de los dibujos que hice en estos días basados en criaturas del universo de Splinterlands; en este caso se trata de la criatura Angelic Mandarin, que es una especie de pez anfibio que habita en este universo. Para mi dibujo estaré usando lápices de colores y el antiguo sketchbook arruinado que me propuse llenar con dibujos a lápices de colores. Quiero capturar la esencia de esta criatura mágica y aumentar mi colección de dibujos a lápices de colores en este sketchbook.

Once my sketch is finished, I begin to color. In this case I will start with all the golden details, which remind me of lava; that's why I will use two colors: orange and yellow, and I will try to blend them as evenly as possible, keeping the orange areas always in the same direction.

Una vez concluido mi boceto, comienzo a colorear. En este caso comenzaré primero por todos los detalles dorados, que me recuerdan a la lava; por eso utilizaré dos colores: naranja y amarillo, y trataré de que se mezclen lo más uniformemente posible, dejando las zonas de naranja siempre en la misma dirección.

Afterwards I will do the skin details and the blue areas of the body. Here the sketchbook paper played a trick on me, because in the areas that were damp when it got wet, the colored pencils colored differently, not so clean and in a much stronger tone. I tried to solve it as best I could, and I think that although it's not perfect, it doesn't look that bad.

Después haré los detalles de la piel y las zonas azules del cuerpo. Aquí la hoja del sketchbook me jugó una mala pasada, ya que en las zonas donde estaban húmedas cuando se mojó, los lápices de colores colorearon de manera distinta, no tan limpios y en un tono mucho más fuerte. Traté de resolverlo lo mejor que pude, y creo que aunque no perfecto, no se ve tan mal.

The last details were for the background, which I simply colored blue.

Los últimos detalles fueron para el fondo, que simplemente coloreé de color azul.
