[EN/ES] Cornealus Splinterlands
This is a drawing based on one of the creatures from Splinterlands, it is precisely based on the creature Cornealus, which is represented as a dark and mysterious floating eye, it is one of those creatures that have a very horrifying appearance and that are very common in adventure stories and in video game universes, to draw this monster I will be using Ibis Paint, I will also be using a horizontal format, this is a monster that although common is very powerful.
Este es un dibujo basado en una de las criaturas de Splinterlands, está basado justamente en la criatura Cornealus, que está representada como un tenebroso y misterioso ojo flotante, es de esas criaturas que tienen un aspecto muy horroroso y que son muy comunes en las historias de aventuras y en los universos de los videojuegos, para dibujar este monstruo estaré usando Ibis Paint, además estaré usando un formato horizontal, este es un monstruo que aunque común es muy poderoso.
The first thing I did was to create a sketch of what my drawing would be, I am inspired by the original card but not copying or tracing it, simply representing the elements in the position of my canvas, to draw this sketch I used a brush that imitates the texture of a pencil, I really liked how the sketch turned out and when it was ready I created a new layer and lowered the opacity of this sketch.
Lo primero que hice fue crear un boceto de lo que sería mi dibujo, estoy inspirándome en la carta original, pero no copiándola ni trazándola, simplemente representando los elementos en la posición de mi lienzo, para dibujar este boceto utilicé un pincel que imita la textura del lápiz, me gustó mucho cómo quedó el boceto y cuando estuvo listo creé una nueva capa y bajé la opacidad de este boceto.
With another brush and in black color I drew the lines of my drawing using the sketch as a direct reference for each part of Cornealus.
Con otro pincel y en color negro dibujé las líneas de mi dibujo utilizando el boceto como una referencia directa de cada parte de Cornealus.
When I am happy with the result of my lines I simply deactivate the sketch layer and I already have everything ready to start applying the color to my drawing, this will be a drawing where the predominant color will be purple.
Cuando estoy feliz con el resultado de mis líneas simplemente desactivo la capa del boceto y ya tengo todo listo para comenzar a aplicar el color de mi dibujo, este será un dibujo donde el color predominante será el color morado.
I created a first base of colors, not with the definitive colors, but as a guide for the different sections of the drawing.
Creé una primera base de colores, no con los colores definitivos, sino como una guía para las distintas secciones del dibujo.
I added volume details with lights and shadows both in the veins coming out of the eye and in the pupil, for the veins I used different shades of red and added lighter and darker areas, for the pupil I did the same but with purple tones, adding lights and shadows trying to achieve a glass effect.
Di detalles de volúmenes con luces y sombras tanto en las venas que salen del ojo como en la pupila, para las venas utilicé distintos tonos de rojo y agregué zonas más claras y oscuras, para la pupila lo hice igualmente pero con tonos de morado y añadiendo luces y sombras tratando de buscar un efecto de cristal.
For the cornea of the eye I did the same, putting into practice everything I have learned about shading spheres, I think I achieved very good volume and very good shine effects, only the background remains where I simply enhanced the color and added a sticker effect under the drawing of the creature, giving it a more cartoon touch and making it stand out against the background, this monster I think has become one of my favorite drawings from the Splinterlands universe, I discovered this creature thanks to another fan art and I really liked being inspired by it to draw it, thank you for accompanying me one more day drawing.
Para la córnea del ojo hice lo mismo, poniendo en práctica todo lo que he aprendido sobre sombrear esferas, creo que logré muy buen volumen y muy buenos efectos de brillo, solo queda agregar el fondo donde realcé el color y agregué un efecto de sticker debajo del dibujo de la criatura, dándole un toque más cartoon y haciendo que destaque sobre el fondo, este monstruo creo que se ha convertido en uno de mis dibujos favoritos del universo de Splinterlands, conocí esta criatura gracias a otro fan art y me gustó mucho inspirarme en ella para dibujarlo, gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
