[EN/ES] Rising Star: Time to learn to play drums!
Hello, as you know this account is characterized by experimenting and learning from graphic art in all its manifestations. This week I have been learning a lot about posters. One of the things I learned that caught my attention the most was that there is a whole aesthetic (Xerox art / Photocopy aesthetic) linked to poorly made posters or with the artisanal style of the first computers and graphics of the 80s. So I thought it would look very good to make a poster inspired by this, together with the musical inspiration of RisingStar Game. For this I directly used as inspiration the card E304.
Hola, como saben esta cuenta se caracteriza por experimentar y aprender del arte gráfico en todas sus manifestaciones. Esta semana he estado aprendiendo mucho sobre carteles. De las cosas que aprendí que más me llamó la atención fue que hay toda una estética (Xerox art / Photocopy aesthetic) ligada a los carteles mal hechos o con estilo artesanal de las primeras computadoras y gráficos de los 80. Así que pensé que se vería muy bien hacer un cartel inspirado en esto junto a la inspiración musical de RisingStar Game. Para ello utilicé directamente como inspiración la carta E304.
The first thing I did was turn the card into a cartoon. I simply started with a piece of paper and a pencil, making the sketch of what my drawing would be. I want it to be something simple, like the first graphic drawing programs of old computers, with thick lines and pixels out of place.
Lo primero que hice fue llevar la carta a caricatura. Comencé simplemente con un pedazo de papel y un lápiz haciendo el boceto de lo que sería mi dibujo. Quiero que sea algo simple, como los primeros programas de dibujo gráfico de las antiguas computadoras, con líneas gruesas y píxeles fuera de lugar.
When I had the sketch ready and was satisfied with my drawing, I used a pen to create the lines of what would be my final version. I will simply take a photo of these lines and use the tracing and vectorizing function of Illustrator to extract the black lines, which I will place over a solid color with magenta at 100% to simulate the paper tone used in printing.
Cuando tuve el boceto listo y estaba satisfecho con mi dibujo, utilicé un lapicero para crear las líneas de lo que sería mi versión final. A estas líneas simplemente les tomaré una foto y utilizaré la función de trazado y vectorizado de Illustrator para extraer las líneas negras, las que colocaré sobre un color sólido con magenta al 100% para simular el papel de un tono que se usa en imprenta.
Now it only remains to add some texts and textures to look for that LOW cost printing effect and quick but effective design
