[EN/ES] The Busker Rising Star Game

I will be drawing The Busker, one of the first characters of Rising Star Game. It is a card with a very interesting drawing where you can see a man with simple clothes and a red beret playing an acoustic guitar. It represents the beginnings in music. For my drawing I will use paper, pencil, a black pen, markers and colored pencils. I will try to represent this card but above all the illustration on it.

Estaré dibujando a The Busker, uno de los primeros personajes de Rising Star Game. Es una carta que tiene un dibujo muy interesante donde se ve a un hombre con ropa sencilla y boina roja tocando una guitarra acústica. Representa los inicios en la música. Para mi dibujo estaré ocupando papel, lápiz, un bolígrafo negro, marcadores y lápices de colores. Trataré de representar esta carta pero sobre todo la ilustración en ella.

The first thing I did was create the background of the card in perspective, using a ruler and applying what I have learned about vanishing points. The scene is very simple: a street, behind it a fence with a metal railing, and further back the green of what seems to be a park. To do this I will be using a pencil.

Lo primero que hice fue crear el fondo de la carta en perspectiva, apoyándome de una regla y aplicando lo que he aprendido sobre los puntos de fuga. El escenario es bien simple: una calle, detrás una valla con una cerca de metal, detrás el verde de lo que parece ser un parque. Para hacerlo estaré ocupando un lápiz.

Afterwards I drew the character, trying to copy the pose from the original card. Drawing the guitar was a bit difficult, but in the end I liked how it turned out, and also how the expression on the character’s face looked.

Después dibujé al personaje, tratando de copiar la pose de la carta original. Dibujar la guitarra fue algo difícil, pero me gustó al final cómo quedó, y también cómo quedó la expresión del rostro del personaje.

For the lines I used a pen and started drawing them little by little, being careful not to make mistakes. I need to work a bit on my patience, since sometimes I get desperate and the lines go to places where they should not or they do not come out with enough confidence. Even so, I am quite satisfied with the result.

Para las líneas utilicé un bolígrafo y comencé a dibujarlas poco a poco, teniendo cuidado de no equivocarme. Tengo que trabajar un poco en mi paciencia, ya que a veces me desespero y las líneas se me van por lugares donde no tenían que ir o no me quedan con la suficiente seguridad. Aun así estoy bastante satisfecho con el resultado.

As I mentioned before, I will be using alcohol markers to color my drawing. I will start with the character, so if I go outside the lines I can cover it with the background. I will respect the original colors of the card as much as possible. I think the most remarkable detail will be his red beret.

Como había adelantado, estaré usando marcadores de alcohol para colorear mi dibujo. Comenzaré con el personaje, así si me salgo de las líneas podré cubrirlo con el fondo. Respetaré los colores originales de la carta lo máximo posible. Creo que lo más destacable será su boina roja.

With the background complete, the drawing improves a lot. I tried to cover all the areas with color, since I do not like leaving blank spaces in my drawings. I really liked this result, and I put into practice several things I have been working on these days in my sketchbook. Thank you very much for accompanying me one more day of drawing.

Con el fondo completo el dibujo gana mucho. Traté de cubrir todas las áreas con color, ya que no me gusta dejar espacios en blanco en mis dibujos. Me gustó bastante este resultado, y puse en práctica varias cosas que he practicado en estos días en mi sketchbook. Muchas gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
