Navigating the Recent Changes in Splinterlands Tournaments

I wanted to take a moment to discuss the recent changes in Splinterlands tournaments that have left me feeling a bit confused and uncertain. Like many of you, I've been focused on other aspects of the game, particularly land development, and have found myself out of the loop when it comes to tournament updates.

The changes seem to coincide with the recent DAO proposal votes from a couple of weeks ago, although I cannot confirm if this is the direct cause. Nevertheless, the alterations have caught me off guard, and I'm now faced with the task of familiarizing myself with these adjustments.

One significant change that stands out is the elimination of entry fees for tournaments. While this removes the financial risk associated with participation, it introduces a new dilemma: the opportunity cost of time. As the number of tournament participants continues to grow, so does the competition, and securing a spot that yields a payout may require more time and effort than before.

My primary goal with tournaments has always been to accumulate SPS (Splinterlands Governance Tokens) at low risk, as the entry fee acted as a safety net, ensuring that I would at least break even. With the removal of this fee, the risk may be lower, but the potential return is uncertain.

Another change worth noting is the reduction in the number of spots that receive a payout. While this may make the competition fiercer, it also means that those who do secure a payout may receive a larger share of the rewards.

As I navigate these changes, I'm reminded of the importance of adaptability in competitive gaming. While the landscape may shift, it's essential to remain flexible and open-minded, exploring new strategies and approaches to maximize success.

In the coming days, I plan to carve out time to delve deeper into the specifics of these tournament changes and assess how they may impact my overall gameplay strategy. While uncertainty may linger, I'm optimistic that with careful consideration and strategic planning, I can continue to thrive in the ever-evolving world of Splinterlands.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and here's to embracing change and seizing new opportunities in competitive gaming.

I have never played any tournament on splinterland, also rarely played the games recently since I only have a few cards, and getting the rewards is harder recently. I Jumped into the game quite late. !LOLZ

I hope you find the best strategy to play in the tournament, and get the share of the prize.
