Reflections on This Year’s HIVE Fest from Split, Croatia

As a regular viewer of HIVE Fest, this year’s event felt particularly important to me. My engagement with the blockchain had been slipping, so I needed a reason to stay involved. Seeing Splinterlands present at the event reassured me that the game is still committed to the HIVE blockchain, but I did notice a missed opportunity for greater community support. Despite that, the overall presentations showed the depth of talent and innovation within the ecosystem.
The ideas discussed during the livestream were inspiring and highlighted how far HIVE has come. It’s a long way from its early days, and the potential for even greater growth is still very much alive. While I’m not quite motivated enough to attend HIVE Fest in person as I once would have, the event rekindled a sense of connection, enough to keep me involved with the blockchain. The quality of production this year was also the best it’s ever been, which made it an enjoyable experience to watch from home.
HIVE Fest reminded me of the incredible community that has formed around this blockchain. The presentations and discussions showcased the creative minds working hard to bring new possibilities to life. I’m excited to see how these ideas evolve, and while it may not be enough to get me back on a plane to the next event, it certainly sparked my interest to remain engaged.
The future of HIVE still holds a lot of promise, and events like this keep me optimistic about where the blockchain and its community are headed.

As I was attending the event, I can assure you that this year's HiveFest was much better in-life than on the live stream... It's definitely worth coming to the next event and I hope you will make it next year!
I know that there were more things planned in Split, but everyone was networking and discussing projects, making deals, acquiring new people in the breaks between presentations, and there was no time for more! A lot of optimism, a lot of development, and background work is done... And some very important additions and upgrades are coming!

Thanks for comment! I would seriously consider it next year and even more if it makes it back to the Americas.
