Splinterlands: Ancient Redwood AirDrop
The new Legendary AirDrop card, Ancient Redwood is a Monster from the Earth Splinter. It is 11 mana in order to be used which is interesting as many of the new set are larger mana cards or giants. It is intereasting because it is very slow yet has the true strike which means it will never miss. The new reflection shield ability also helps combat some of the well know blast metas. It also complements another highly used meta as Fury provides extra damage to monsters using the Taunt ability.
My 2,800 packs no longer get me enough for a maxed version and no luck in terms of a Gold Foil this time. I watched the market briefly but decided to buy my missing single BCX to avoid it going against me given how cards have been trading as of late. For this set, I will be good with many of the AirDrops given the amount I purchased. I will not need to go out into the market for BCX to max out my playable copy as much as the past AirDrops.
The Riftwatchers AirDrops have now started so exciting for the community. It may be a while to see the next one but incredible to see the value being built for all the players in the ecosystem. My Collection has continued to bloom despite the markets in the past months. I cannot avoid getting deeper into this and while I am already well past my budget of packs, I am sure there will continue to be reasons to add for the chance for more AirDrops even as they slow.
