Splinterlands:  It's Been a While!

I still remember the moment that I went down the rabbit hole with the Splinterlands game and it was when I opened some packs to see what it was all about and quickly learned that I had gotten a Legendary Gold Foil. It was an Alpha Lord of Darkness which I still have today with much pride. Even in those days, it was worth much more than I had even spent to purchase my Collection at that point.

Gold Foils have continued to be a high demand asset in the ecosystem as they have come with any benefits. Despite my determined approach to be efficient, I never got as far to create gold foil teams much more than just the luck I got from opening my packs and claiming my rewards. However, given the amount of packs I opened, I was able to get a good amount to use in the lower Divisions over time to benefit from the extra DEC earned from battles. They also have been an importance source of Collection Power which has been a good amount for many players currently benefiting from the SPS AirDrop.

This past Season I got another Gold Foil Legendary for the first time in a while! It was also on the very first claim which made it very exciting to say the least! I am now debating whether to give it to my Gold Foil account to play at the lower levels or rent it out as it seems to be in good demand. The experience just reminds me of how exciting it is to be a part of this game and ecosystem and its future potential!
