Splinterlands: Post General Sale AirDrops

The Splinterlands team continues to generate value by distributing new and valuable cards to existing players via AirDrops. This will continue with the latest edition in Chaos Legion. While the sale of the latest edition has continued to go well, we have definitely seen a large slowdown in sales as of late. Many thought that the complete edition would have sold out in days but the Crypto markets have not really helped and given the general correlation to sales, I am not surprised. However, it does not bother me as it is good for things to slow down while the team continues to developed the ecosystem as planned.

However, the recent sales surpassed the next million packs and opened the latest new Legendary AirDrop card, the Spirit Hoarder which is a Neutral card. My over 2,000 packs did not help much this time as guaranteed rates were adjusted given sales so I was unable to guarantee myself a fully maxed version of one for regular foil. I also did not get a Gold Foil but we cannot always be that lucky! Despite the supply for the card, the price remained elevated given that it is seen a good card with added flexibility due to being a neutral card.

Many more of these to come and incredible to see the value being built for all the players in the ecosystem. My Collection has continued to bloom despite the declines in value seen in the past months. I cannot avoid getting deeper into this and while I am already well past my budget of packs, I am sure there will continue to be reasons to add for the chance for more AirDrops even as they slow.
