The arrival of avatars and exemplars seems to be one of the most important updates yet. It is not said here that the way the game is played will be changed but it is about redefining the way players are inside the game. I think this update is right because till now the player did not have his identity, here he will get his own identity. It feels good that our own avatar will be created and we can give exemplars an identity to the card like ourselves. It seems as if you are creating yourself. Earlier in Splinterlands the avatar was limited to profile only. Here the player's identity was limited to his profile only. There was neither personalization in it nor was the player's journey visible. USE OF EXEMPLARS -

Exemplars are not allowed in ranked battles. This is because the developers have a long-term vision. They consider who will be harmed and who will benefit from the updates they introduce, which is why the Splinterlands game is still thriving. Exemplars will not be used in Ranked Battles, but rather in special modes. These include Special Challenges, Community Events, and future Guild Brawls.

This means these cards were not created for ranked battles; they were designed for special competitive formats. Let's understand why they are not in ranked battles: Ranked battles use cards with fixed abilities and stats. You will find official cards there. Therefore, to keep ranked battles fair these cards are not included. In ranked battles, every player should have the same opportunity. However Exemplars are community-created cards with a limited supply and not everyone will have them.

These cards are played in special modes because tournaments and challenges have different rules and formats, and it's easier to test new ideas there. Exemplars have new abilities. Special modes provide a perfect testing ground. The cards will have a unique identity in these modes. If Exemplars were introduced into ranked battles, they would become like normal cards. But in special modes, their uniqueness is preserved. Most importantly, community creativity is highlighted. This makes players feel that they created these cards, and that they are very special.

The goal is to keep the ranked meta stable and create a separate experimental environment for player-made cards.

I found this update very good as I told you in the post here that Avatars and Exemplars is an attractive model of the logo of Splinterlands. Here friends, every player can prove himself by making his own card. This is a very strong long-term move for both Splinterlands and the hive eco system. Here players can hold their investments and their assets. By moving forward, every player can prove himself good and powerful. Here friends, a model of play-to-earn can be seen. Investor mindset is visible here. People will invest here and Splinterlands game will become stronger. I think this game will write a story in itself because friends, the way it is bringing updates, the players are paying full attention to the game. This makes the hive eco system stronger.
