Why Most Players Fail This Rule — And How to Win It !!
Hello
Splinterlands Lovers !

Today, I want to share with you a specific rule in Splinterlands—one where many players make mistakes that often lead to losing battles. If you approach Splinterlands with a well-crafted strategy, you will never have to suffer a defeat. The rule I am focusing on today is "Global Warming." Many players stumble under this rule; I, too, used to lose frequently in these matches. However, ever since I developed a specific strategy for this scenario, I have been winning battles under this rule set with great consistency. Additionally, there is another rule to consider today: "Junior Varsity." Under this rule, you are restricted to using only cards with a Mana cost of 6 or less; you cannot deploy any cards that cost more than 6 Mana. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to play with a strategic mindset here; this will allow you to play like a professional and secure victory in your battles. I will now explain in detail exactly what kind of cards you should utilize to ensure your success under these specific rules.

If these rules apply to you, be sure to get this card.

I shared this strategy with you regarding the battle because, as you can observe, the "Global Warming" rule set dictates that whenever a successful attack occurs—regardless of which team executes it—every team will lose 2 Health points in that round. Therefore, the key to winning this battle lies in selecting cards that possess the ability to increase their own Health. This strategy works because, as the rounds progress, while your overall team Health is steadily depleting, these specific cards will simultaneously be replenishing their own life force. Consequently, while other cards on the battlefield may perish, these self-healing cards will endure, ultimately steering your team toward victory. If you look at my battle replay, you will see that I was able to secure the win solely thanks to my "Gelatinous Cube" card. Had this card not been part of my lineup, I likely would not have been able to win the battle. Furthermore, this card is particularly special because it has a Mana cost of just 6, meaning you get access to a highly effective card for a very low Mana investment.

Let me explain this card to you. It has a Mana cost of 6. I currently possess this card at Level 4. The ability featured on this card is called "Scavenge."With this ability, whenever any monster is defeated, this card's Health increases. For this reason, it is a highly attractive card. Furthermore, as soon as you upgrade this card to Level 6, it gains an additional ability—a healing ability—which restores its Health at the end of every round. This means that in matches involving specific rulesets—such as those involving Poison or "Global Warming" effects—you can utilize this card to significantly boost your chances of winning the battle. You should position this card in the first slot; the advantage of doing so is that as long as enemy units continue to attack this card, your remaining cards will be free to perform their functions, ultimately enabling you to secure victory in the battle. By deploying cards with healing capabilities in matches governed by such rules, you can effectively win your battles.
Conclusion
I really love this card combination, especially in conjunction with these specific rules. Our sole focus must be on winning battles—this is crucial because winning is essential for climbing the ranks and earning SPS and other rewards. This, in turn, helps sustain and deepen our engagement with Splinterlands. As you watch the battle, you will see that the specific cards I selected—particularly the Gelatinous Cube—were instrumental in securing this victory; otherwise, I surely would have lost. I hope you enjoy watching this battle!
