Starting line-up

I started with Shieldbearer as my tank to soak up the ranged attacks where it could and return a few of them. It's one of the best cards that i bought over the past year and fits so many combinations.

I have two strong ranged monsters at the rear with the Silvershield Sherriff especially damaging with 5 ranged and piercing. The assassin as usual and a little bit of triage goes a long way when aimless is live on the field. It's a strange ruleset that can really make a lucky wim for either player depending on what gets hit and when. Very random.

First kill..

My tank soaked up a lot of their attack since aimless only applies to long range attackers and not melee. At the same time my monsters were hitting every card for a little bit of damage during the first kill into a bit of a war of attrition.

The assassin had poisoned their wave brood but it was their healer that went down first after a couple of lucky shots from my ranged monsters.

With that card gone i had the advantage straight away but it's all random which i don't like.

If they killed my monster first i would be fighting uphill with no control over the game.

Round three.

This was a big round for me. after waiting a long time for the first kill, the next few followed swiftly. Wave Brood, Shieldbearer, Angelic Mandarin all in round three.

At this stage it's looking good for me with two of their remaining monsters on low health and five of mine still in play. I have strong cards all attacking the rear of their team so it is mine for the taking after round three.

Finishing line-up.

Their Demonshark is a tough card and it did a lot of damage with enrage combined with stampede to take out a few more of my cards before the end but i just had too much firepower left on the field.

thankfully I poisoned it to make sure of the result and then just had to wait and see which card was going to take down Artemis the bear. The first time i've seen it played.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
