Starting line-up

I went with a defensive lineup for this battle. Almo and pelacor conjuror since there is no melee allowed. Everything has to be ranged or magic, most of which comes straight down the front. These work really well when you pair them with Dax paragon which is a very handy little 2 mana card. One that everybody should keep in their deck.

Amplify is a serious ability in a defensive battle and can cause serious damage if you can keep your team alive long enough. That's why i have them backed up with shield repair and healing as well as a triage ability.

When you see my opponents team then you know they are going to get a lot of backfire from that magic attack and blast. Their defense is solid as well with healing and reflection but they have no ranged. It's all magic which plays to my strengths.

First kill..

After round one i have dealt out a lot of reflected damage, just like i thought. Much more than they gave back to me. Three of their monsters are already on their last health points which is a result.

Then the first kill came with the first shot in round two as they shot one more magic attack at my defense which rebounded for three damage and shields down. This was swiftly followed by their king of the seas with the very next move which also suffered the same fate.

Another one taken out by my sniper and the match is all but over in round two.

Round three.

At the start of round three the match is already mine. The opponent only has one attacker left. My tank is immune to their poison and i have a healer and triage for everything else.

That tricky little card of mine Dax stopped them from healing their tank and after that it was straightforward. I fired all of my shots over round three and four. To be fair i didn't think that their team would last as long as it did. We made it all the way to round five with two of their monsters still standing.

Finishing line-up.

Final kill in round five. I really want to buy a DR. Blight when i get a chance. Hopefully they come down in price a bit more so that i can snag one.

At the final whistle it was one of those enjoyable matches where i have a full team left. My defense held up very well against their attack while they went 50/50 for their battle plan. Good defense cards only work with the right powers behind them. Thats why the team worked so well when the cards all helped each other.

The fact that all of the magic attacks played into my hands is one thing but the cards were well put together which was the winning of the battle. It wasn't a bad team that i was up against and if they could have poisoned my tank it might have gone the other way.

Small margins in victory.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

High-level high-tempo battles of higher leagues, I always admire. I haven't paid attention to Dax having Affliction ability when upgraded to level 5.

That was a very interesting battle you won dominantly.
