Finally maxed out a old beta summoner.
Big beta moves today.
Since the first days that i started playing the game I wanted to max out all my cards. It was a slow grind with small money at the start buying cards one base card at a time.
Unfortunately I started trying to do it with gold beta cards which were fairly expensive at the time and have only gone up since.
It was a huge regret of mine in the game that I never managed to max my summoners and one that annoys me every time i need to select one for a battle.
Today however I managed to max out two of them. Prices have been dropping lower and lower which was tempting me more and more.
Today I said fuck it and bought 22 beta base cars to max out "Alric Stormbringer" and "Zintar Mortalis".

This won't necessarily help me to win any more battles but it is a collectors goal of mine to max out these summoners. I now have two out of five completed but the others are way out of price range for a long time yet.
With only 400 of each card left it is a bit of a bragging point to hold any maxed out copies as very few will ever own these in the game.
I'll bide my time until prices drop for the other cards or Hive goes crazy again to buy any more and go back to building my deck for battles but this was a huge milestone for my collection and one to build on.

There are so many different aspects to the game now that it's pretty much impossible to chase down every avenue. I see some people crafting cards with their land and enjoy the posts but have no interest in doing it myself.
I see some buying modern cards and playing those tournaments but it's not the top of my priority list.
I love the old cards and the old battles. I know that the new artwork is very well done and very high quality but i love the simplicity of the old cards. Clear and easy to use with simple abilities and blend together nicely.
Each to their own but I will continue to focus on building my collection from the bottom up with all of the chaos set collected, most of untamed and working on beta when the opportunity arises.
It's hard to find any of these at reasonable prices due to the limited numbers and the longevity of the older players.
Some of the names that have been here since before me and will probably be here long after when the game has millions of players and I'm down to renting out my old cards for profit and for show.
Try for yourself.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
While other web3 games are failing on all sides, Splinterlands has been here for seven years and going strong.

Do you put them on land, as they have a nice PP?
