Grund is avery popular card for the earth splinter but it's one that I never bought. I have enough melee monsters in earth and didn't see the need to add one more.

So for this weeks share your battle post I rented out a maxed level and said i would give it a try.

It took a few goes to find a win with the card but after multiple tries I found a winning combination for the challenge.

The Battle.

The ruleset for this battle was:

Broken arrows.
Melee Mayhem.
Taking sides.

16 Mana.

Starting line-up

I went with dragon splinter as it's always handy for no neutral monsters and gives me a lot more options for the battle. With Melee monsters attack from anywhere I tried once more to get a win out of grund.

It's been a tough run to drag a win out of this card but i finally nailed it with this line up. They went full magic attack which I didn't defend but had a lot of melee firepower instead.

First kill..

First kill wen't to me and also to grund. They put Mycelic with taunt at the rear of their line up to hold my attack but i blew through that plan in round one. Double strike and four attack does a lot of damage when they have no defense.

Round three.

It was a tight match at this point with both of us losing a couple of monsters. It could have gone either way as their magic attack was taking a sever toll on my line up but grund had taken out three monsters all by itself.

If you can get it rolling with double strike and trample then it can really destroy the opposing line up. It's not a card that i really like but it was really good for me on this occasion. Fifth time lucky as they say.

Finishing line-up.

It was a good, tighly fought match between our two teams. Magic versus might and luckily I came out the right side at the very end.

It's tough getting out of gold leagues these days so it's very important to build those win streaks. I still won't be buying this card for my own deck as it's hard to bring into play for most battles but it was fun to try it out for a couple of days and put it to the test.

That's the best part of these share oyur battle posts. Getting the opportunity to try out new cards and strategies before building up my deck further. This ones is a pass but next week might be a new buy.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
