Share your Splinterlands battle. Dragon version.

Last week the theme was Animated corpse which didn't suit me. I was goin to do the post anyway but there would be no enjoyment in writing about him. The post has no life when you don't like the card.

This will be my first "share your battle" post and so I hope that it turns out well. It would be great to get into the habit of doing one weekly as I play the game every day.

This week though we have dragons. Big powerful, scary, scaly dragons. Rulers of earth and sky. Masters of all dominion and the source of all lore.

Basically, the big boss of the splinterlands crew.

My favourite splinter in the game and having a dragon summoner is essential for any good deck. Having a maxed one, even better. Dragon summoners give you the most flexibility in the game across all rulesets as there is something for everything by having your choice of splinters and extra cards to add to your options. They give me the best winrate when coupled with the life splinter but adding armour to death gives it a whole new dimension as well.

Dragon summoners give you a big advantage over your opponant who can almost predict a death team with Zinter but when you go for Death + Drake it's a whole new team. I am lucky enough to have a choice of three Dragon summoners with two of them gold and two of them maxed to give me a solid range of options for any rule set.

This battle below is one that I really enjoyed.

Battle link.

Mainly because I could load in a few extra dragon cards to win the battle comprehensively. That is not usually an easy feat at Diamond I. But pushing for champion places at the end of season is always tough to do so getting win streaks together is key to progressing.

You can see in the clip that we are fighting under [Trample],[No healing] rulesets with a limited option of fire and dragon.

The starting line-up

I don't own a fire splinter out of all of the options so this is why having dragon is so powerful. I had a choice of three summoners, neutral, fire and gragon cards to make up a team. That is a lot of options that the other player didn't have.

They also went with a dragon summoner and fire splinter out of nessessity but didn't have the options to make it work. They then had to place three level one fire cards in the line up whichwas always going to lose at this level.

I could have won with any of my summoners as I had four powerful dragon cards to go with my two neutral ones and field a strong line-up. These combined with a +1 magic summoner made it an easy win.

The battle

Dragon jumper is a great card for speed and opportunity making the first move here. It has has two speed points over the enemy team and makes a kill on the first move.

Next goes my neutral sneak monster dropping poison on their opposite number.

Already there is a clear winner of the match.

Two shots of (3) magic takes out the tank even with a silencer in place. This put the opponant in a terrible predicament as they haven't even fired a shot yet and are two cards down.

That is just after round one.

Then round two begins.......

First two shots are fired by my team with two fatalities. All that is left on the field is DR.Blight. He's strong but nobody is that strong to face down a full line-up. Not even Kron. From this point onwards it's just a matter of which monster gets the kill shot and victory for the team. Some of them will never even get to make a second attack.

The honour goes to (Magic Sphynx) with a (4) magic attack to leave me with a clean sweep and no fatalities.

The finishing line-up

While I did get a comprehensive win. This time.

Against a fully loaded fire team it could have gone either way. Magic is generally strong against fire and would be my go to strategy in this case. However a lot of my cards were not maxed out which hurts att this level. Maxed cards are often the difference bewteen winning and losing here.

If they had even put some reflect in the tank position then it would have lasted a bit longer but i do think that their options were limited for this round.

Happy enough to take the win for this time ranyway.

It's your first time participating in the Share Your Battle contest but you used a good battle strategy and even eliminated Doctor Blight level 4 ;)
