Splinterlands tower defense game.

One of the many new additions coming to splinterlands over the next few months.

We can only speculate for the moment but the team have been hinting about a big announcement coming this evening and have released some press just a little while ago.

They have two press releases with a little bit of information on the upcoming game but we don't have the full mechanics yet.

The new game, which will be geared towards tower defense mechanics, will showcase new utility for Splinterlands cards as well as introduce new playable Splinterlands-themed assets.

Splinterlands Tower Defense will see the return of Splintershards ($SPS) and Dark Energy Crystals ($DEC), as well as its Voucher token as a medium for staking and purchasing assets. Within the new game, players who purchase items within Splinterlands will also receive additional rewards, such as Tower Defense packs–and vice versa.

Pre-sale for Tower Defense packs will go live on September 20, 2022, where 250,000 card packs of the game’s 2 million first series of card packs will be available. Card packs, sold through the Splinterlands in-game economy, are expected to sell out rapidly.

There will surely be a lot more information about the game mechanics in tonight's town hall as they have been teasing us all week.

You’ll want DEC, SPS, and vouchers along the way. With only a few million packs available there just isn’t enough for everyone to get all they want. Please plan accordingly. Have fun. Make a plan cause FOMO is a cruel master.

All of this is building nicely behind the scenes. Layers upon layers of web3 gaming stacking together under the splinterlands umbrella and tied to hive.

All i can think is that there isn't enough assets to go around.

I just want to keep stacking more and more before all of these projects combine to drive splinterlands to the moon.

They are going about it in the right way and will be at the forefront of web3 gaming in the next few years.

I can't wait for the town hall tonight and find out a bit more.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

Cards worth a few cents now will have a much higher value in the future as the print runs out. We have a strong community and seen this happen every time as it grows with the game.
